It doesn't beg a question Lemon... it merely answers one. We're gonna do this again?
This is it. There's no more evidence needed. Case closed.Who is going to start Monday's thread?

Yes sir both BLADES are on the mat....2 or 3 times they were...Hope and pray he hangs on like that at Nationals !!!! The ref will hit the mat really fast now....
In 400 words or less perhaps someone can tell us why it is a takedown.
We still doing this? Really?
Umm... it tells me that the bottom wrestler had both shoulder blades down on the mat simultaneously. That is the definition of a one second fall in collegiate wrestling. I don't know how a wrestlers shoulders could be down on a mat for less than a second.Really?
Read the many threads from last week.
A still photo proves absolutely nothing with regards to whether or not a pin took place.
Lemon head... I created the original thread and posted the 1st video of the sequence here. You know what happens when you assume... Don't you? Obviously not.Great. Hawkeye Report standards. Don't be mad at us because you were too lazy to browse the board for this existing thread.
Even if I think he was stuck (which I do), what good is the discussion at this point if all it does is frustrate people? Let sleeping dogs lie.is kind of hard to believe. This thread could be merged with 5 or 6 other threads, and unless you had a good memory you'd have no idea which posts were originally in which threads.
Just factual representation. Neither should get anyone up or down. Don't take it in too deep. Just half nelson it... not full nelson it.Even if I think he was stuck (which I do), what good is the discussion at this point if all it does is frustrate people? Let sleeping dogs lie.
Slow info period and I thought informative to those who might want to see another angle that many requested here.
Many people here were asking for another angle of the action... I merely posted another angle for people to see.
How did the ref miss it? It happens.slow? that match was discussed every single day in the past week on this board.
another angle? that image was posted several times on this board over the past week.
how could we get by without seeing this picture again?

Tom......Do you need that sheet of paper for the wall that I mentioned the other day? My wife says I need to give it away because there are too many holes in the walls of the house!slow? that match was discussed every single day in the past week on this board.

The question I have and it could of very well been answered. Can a coaches challenge include if a wrestler has been pinned? The only way I would think that a ref would overrule himself would be if he was totally out of position, and a camera angle showed a difinative pin of an extended amount of time (3+seconds). Just wondering what the rule allows to be challenged.
Certainly a clear TD meeting all criteria for a TD including clear control of both legs while upper-body is completely free above the waist and top-wrestler is holding bottom-wrestler in a pinning position but the official has not awarded 2, begun NF count nor on the mat looking for the fall....go figure! Sadly LMFAO that some have labelled this horse$hit "officiating at its finest"....yawn.
Thanks for the answer. The current rule would be like the NFL not being able to review and reverse scoring plays. Seems to be a flawed system just on merit. It was answered.
Here is the exact language in the NCAA rule book which addresses this:
"3.21 Mat-Side Video Review
[two paragraphs that don't deal with your question.
Mat-side video review may be used to confirm or reverse any call or non-call made by the official, except a fall."
BTW, can anyone point me to how Heil's "crotch-lock" in the picture is improving, or has any hope of improving, "his position" - the supposed standard in the rulebook, and ONLY WAY, his crotch-lock can prevent the TD in this specific situation! His crotch-lock is doing absolutely nothing to improve his position and the DIAMETRIC OPPOSITE is true in REALITY given Jimmy's leg hook of Heil's right-leg.
I respectfully understand your stance hlstone... but when you see two shoulder blades on the mat at once in a a still photo... that's the definition of a pin. Dean Heil didn't roll through. There is no micro second where two shoulder blades touch in this given match. And a human being can't react that fast.Still shots do not indicate a fall. I watched this match many times and it is debatable.

And when you say that two shoulder blades being down in a still photo isn't a pin... that makes me think you're disassembling reality which can't be done.
None of are hlstone... but knowing the rules is only half the battle and the other half, having the balls to make tough calls in a match. You have "balls"... right... hlstone? You could be a ref. It doesn't take much. From my view, it was a pin. I am not a ref.
So you are a ref? After all, it doesn't take much!None of are hlstone... but knowing the rules is only half the battle and the other half, having the balls to make tough calls in a match. You have "balls"... right... hlstone? You could be a ref. It doesn't take much.
No... but I was good enough to work the NCAA's in Philly in 2011. It really didn't take much to do that either. So you are a ref? After all, it doesn't take much!
and I thought going to the ACC championships and NCAAs was going to be fun! I'll volunteer for a tableworker at the NLO next year (if there is one)... just tell me how!No... but I was good enough to work the NCAA's in Philly in 2011. It really didn't take much to do that either.
And I got to score Kyle Dake's last loss to Kevin LeValley at the EIWA Championships in 2011 and I had to circle Kevin LeValley's name instead of Kyle Dake as the winner.
I got to sit next to Cody Sanderson at Nationals and hug him madly when Quentin Wright pinned Grant Gambrall in a standing cradle. I got to celebrate Penn State's start to a long line of National Championships in 2011 on the floor of the Wells Fargo Center. I got to eat lunch with Wade Schalles every day and pick his brain about who was going to win the team title in 2011. Nate Carr and I debated back and forth before Wade ended the debate. You didn't have a horse in that debate.
That didn't take much either. I had all access to the tournament and that didn't take much either. The NCAA commended me for my performance... but that didn't take much either.
Table workers are important too, and have to maintain their concentration for long periods. Just ask Ian Miller!and I thought going to the ACC championships and NCAAs was going to be fun! I'll volunteer for a tableworker at the NLO next year (if there is one)... just tell me how!
