Interesting Name in the Portal

Lineup gaps? We just finished a year where we had 5 finalists, 7 in top 3 and 8 AAs. The two weights (gaps) that did not AA were a freshman who duringvthe year beat the 4th place finisher, lost by 2 to the runner-up and just seemed to lose his way towards the end of the year and 125 where we have a recruit who most likely if healthy would be a multiple time AA by now.

I wish the football team was as poorly constructed.
Cael wins with five guys. That’s all he needs as 5 guys have reached the finals in all years but one since 2016. He’s got the secret sauce. Doesn’t need AA’s at every. That won’t win now a days. I’ve said before “you go to Iowa to AA but go to PSU to AA and win Championships!”

I would say this was our strongest dual team once Levi got in the lineup. Nine points was our smallest margin of victory, and we didn't always put all our starters on the mat.

Dual records
RBY 13-0
Bartlett 15-1
SVN 12-4
Levi 11-0
Alex 15-2
Carter 16-0
Brooks 9-1
Dean 14-2
Kerk 13-1

With the occasional backup in the lineup, 133 through hwt, we lost only 17 individual matches in our 16 dual meets.

But not 8 scoring wrestlers.

I forget the definition of "scoring wrestler". If 7th place isn't enough, then Penn State has never had 8 scoring wrestlers. I had to look this up (credit to the Penn State Wrestling Club). The two other 8 AA teams:
17/18: 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 5, 7, 7
86/87: 2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 6, 6, 7

It was a lemon pie joke.

And thank you for stats.

I'd have to look it up but the 16/17 year might be the only year that could be stronger for duals.
