not just beaten, but SMOKED by their opponents in this bowl season. I guess I have to say I did not see tht coming. And I sure hope I do not have to update this post to include us.:(

I'm not sure I recall so many lopsided outcomes in major bowl games. In retrospect, I believe Stanford should have been among the final four, and McAffrey should have won the Heisman.

No doubt, people want to talk all this crap about how this sham absurdly biased BCS-controlled rankings driven "invitational tournament" is so revealing as to who the best team is....a good example would be this crap article from b1g shill Adam Rittenberg, "ESPN Staff Writer":

The six lessons we learned from the New Year's Six bowls

The only thing this sham system has taught us is that top ten SUPPOSEDLY "national title, invitational tourney worthy" team's like MSU, OU, Iowa, ND and F$U were pretenders and would have been eliminated from a LEGITIMATE playoff, but the one thing we have not learned AT ALL is how good a very "national title worthy" contender like Houston really is (Houston is now 13-1 and a team who handled F$U far easier than Clemson - they led F$U from opening kickoff to final gun, leading by 2 and 3 scores for the vast majority of the game; IOW, they dominated F$U from gun-to-gun.).

The only reason we don't know how good Houston actually is on an "absolute basis" (determined on the field) is because the BCS-conferences who control the BCS sham "playoff system" have JERRY-RIGGED an invitational system that precludes a worthy team like Houston in the name of their own self-interest no different than what scumbag Professional Boxing Promoters did in destroying that sport and interest in it! (it is not a "playoff" by definition, it is an "invitational tournament" with subjective "invitations" made by a hopelessly biased and subjective "Selection Committee" that has never made a $hit's bit of difference in the outcome of any game on the field and has no business being more important than the results the team's themselves generate on the field!).

I really wouldnt say OSU "smoked" ND. That game was 7 points in the third quarter and 10 points with 6 minutes left in the game. Smoked is MSU losing 38-0 and Iowa losing 35-0 at half.
