Didn't see this discussed here, but we have joked about other wrestlers dads getting jobs with programs. This sure looks hinkey to me.

You mean because he was 3X NCAA champion, or his freestyle success including Olympic Bronze (after being screwed out of a finals spot), or his coaching resume that includes Iowa State previously and West Virginia as well as the previous 3 years coaching his son's high school team? Maybe it is hinky because while a hair short of Gable and Cael, he is one of the most successful Cyclone wrestling alums in the history of Iowa State.Didn't see this discussed here, but we have joked about other wrestlers dads getting jobs with programs. First, I don't believe he has ever coached at Iowa state previously. Secondly, he retired from coaching at WVU. What I find hinkey is that he is finally acknowledged by his alma mater at the age of 58 only after his son is a top notch recruit there. You mean because he was 3X NCAA champion, or his freestyle success including Olympic Bronze (after being screwed out of a finals spot), or his coaching resume that includes Iowa State previously and West Virginia as well as the previous 3 years coaching his son's high school team? Just my opinion, getting the kid to wrestle and the father to recruit and teach is a big freaking win for Dresser and the Cyclone family. Way to go ISU. Great gets both!
I don't see anything wrong with that motivation. I can imagine most parents would love the opportunity to be able to watch their kid's college career...First, I don't believe he has ever coached at Iowa state previously.
