I wonder if Iowa St even wins one match ? Not sure who's injured , out of lineup etc.

started a heavyweight and ISU wins a decision
Gilman with a tech and did whatever he wanted

Hall over Laux at 133, 2td in first than nothing

looks like a black power conference from the 60's from looking at the crowd

If you love hand fighting and head fakes this has been your match here at 133/141.

G-man impressive as usual

carton over meeks decision
not impressive, meeks gave up a stalling point and a caution point

only a Kevin Jackson coached wrestler can give up that takedown with 3 seconds left in the 1st period.

Kemerer wins 8-7 after leading 8-1 and gives up two stalling points.

More bonus for us at this weight

What ? Wait !! .... no way! ... about two weeks ago, a thread on HR had about 1/3 of their posters picking "KemDawg" to straight-up beat Jason Nolf.

I'd like to make fun of this, but I think we probably have people who'd pick Suriano over Gilman. Not that I don't think the gap between Nolf and Kem is bigger than Gilman and Suriano, but still

He started out alright then faded. Kept his head on the mat way to much, got sloppy, staring at the clock ect. Great teaching moment for the Brands

I'm one of them. Well...sorta. I told the crew over at HR I felt Suriano and Gilman would meet three times this year. During the dual, Gilman wins comfortably by 4 or 5 points. At the Bigs, Gilman by a Td. At the NCAAs the gap is closed and it's a tossup.

I get your point, but still . . . there is no analogy to be made between Nolf and Gilman. Nolf will not get Brancaled or Moiseyed anytime in his career. And Nolf will be remembered throughout history for his performance on the mat rather than in the opposing team's huddle.

When March arrives, Suriano would be wise to not give Gilman much respect.

The majority of HR is downright delusional and are living in the past. Last year most of them thought Sorenson would beat Zain. I mean, I've even seen one guy claim Sorenson will beat Zain at CH this year. Zain is going to pin Sorenson the next time they wrestle and Nolf is going to either tech or pin Kemerer.

Depending on where the line is set, that'll be an interesting over/under...

The thing I have noticed, is not to make too much, of what you see the first time someone wrestles a big match in Carver. Sorenson looked about the same as kemdog his first isu match

(beat Moreno 9-8). Carver can be hard the first time. Seen it with a lot of guys on both sides, including some all time greats like Lincoln Mcllarvy, Cary Kolat, and Johnny Thompson.

To a certain extent you guys have seen it a little bit on your end. I didnt think that much of it when Cenzo got lit up in his first duel. I know hes way better than that. Just as most of you guys know how good Kemdog is. He gassed cause carver sucks the wind out of you sometimes. And first time in that atmosphere can be unpredictable, as to how your body responds.

All that being said, Kemmerers' next time in Carver is vs Penn St. so hopefully he figures it out fast, or it will be ugly

AZchief32 is a fantastic poster. My favorite HR poster. Fair and hysterical. WildTurk & Minnhawkeye are fair & very knowledgeable. They have a few other great posters. Pardon me if I can't remember names.

But the majority of HR posters are drooling mouth breathers.

It was a lot worse 7+ years ago....believe it or not there has been a calming effect these last 6 years.

Hard to put a finger on the cause though.

The calming down effect is Penn State 5 titles last 6 years, Iowa 0. The impact is many of the folks who followed Iowa simply for the winner association have lost their passion and don't show up very often. Still a few left though.

As far as Kemerer. I would bet Brands was training them hard all week. No need to peak for Iowa State anymore, just wrestle through. Peaked or not, Kemerer isn't going to be able to deal with, nor keep pace with Nolf.

Sorry, but I don't buy into the adrenaline narrative. He had the same issues in a couple of losses last year during his redshirt. This has become a trend whether you want to admit it or not.

Majority? Nah. There is always a few bad eggs, just like here but i would say the most of the posters have their heads screwed on straight. There is probably posters here that still think Guilbon will win a title. Just passionate fans that have trouble seeing reality.

And yeah we get that Zain and Nolf are monsters. But dont hate on the Iowa fanbase for supporting Sorensen and Kemerer.

NO... no one thinks that WildMan. Not remotely. (Concerning Jimmie Gulibon) I have not seen one post remotely asserting that statement.

And Penn State fans don't hate on Iowa fans for supporting their guys... it's the mere twisted hyperbole that Sorensen can hang with Zain Retherford after getting annihilated in the NCAA finals or that KemDogged is remotely hanging with Jason Nolf as he's not even in Jason Nolf's league. Well... technically he is in Jason Nolf's league, but it gets overwhelmingly idiotic to hear, even 2nd hand drivel presented in simpleton thought that KemDawger has a chance again a "monster" like Jason Nolf. He's got NO chance.

But it does create for a good laugh that someone remotely connected to reality could make such statements. If fandom thought was only real and if only Brandon Sorensen was a reincarnation of Zain Retherford and if only Michael Kemmerer were a twin bother of Jason Nolf. If..only. o_O

WTF has gotten into you? Its like you've aged decades in the past year or two - the sage advise and rational commentary is getting unsettling . Tempted to ask for a little of the "wild" back in WildTurk but that could be dangerous - like saying Beetlejuice 3 times.

Yeah, Turk is great and I like minnhawkeye as well. Seem to be great people as well.

I thought the same thing but didn't know if my memory was on. Iowa fans say he's wrestling up a weight so cutting weight isn't the issue. I'm sure the workouts the Brands put on those kids isn't the problem. I'd be mildly concerned about it to be honest.

I know right? Ever since jammenz gave me some of his Xanax i have mellowed out. Plus i have been spending my wrestling board time picking on PD2 lately on CyFan and HR. Takes it out of me a bit
