So he's had the flu for going on 3 weeks? Got it. I have no doubt Spencer is/was sick. But all the way back to the Glory match? He teched Glory anyway. Quit while you're behind.

If Lee was in the hospital with IV's in the near past, what the hell was he doing wrestling on Saturday? Seriously, WTF was he doing wrestling if his health was so bad that he just got out of the hospital?
So Lee was in the hospital 4 days ago and your coaches are going to send him out to wrestle a Division 1 match? That's ridiculous.
It's Iowa-Iowa State, so it wouldn't surprise me. Clearly Lee wasn't 100 percent and I don't think Stoll is probably there yet, either. I think it's commendable that they are willing to wrestle for the team. Stoll told Brands he was going when he saw how the match was shaping up, they didn't plan to wrestle him. I'm not sure about Lee. Flu isn't something to mess around with. What's fun is that Iowa had to dig pretty deep to win this one and ISU isn't nearly done rebuilding.
I learned from our friends at HR that the whole team has the flu. Everyone is injured as well. Warner won fair and square, even Miklus admitted it and they like him for that because excuses stink. And the ref was terrible, he's a notorious hawkeye hater and called every match against Iowa. Wait every match except for Warner's, he did a pretty good job on that one but atrocious otherwise.
...and DeSanto deserves praise for not punching Gomez in the face at the end of his match.

If during the 2015-16 seasonTommy had been willing to travel to State College for a non Big dual then Iowa could have had a home match with Penn State this year. Not that the result would have been fun, but at least they could have experienced the pleasure of watching some high quality wrestling.
Saturday they needed Stoll and Spencer to get the win. If PSU and Iowa wrestled Iowa would need Spencer to wrestle to avoid the shutout.
But Brands slapped Lee in the face and said “I don’t want this” before the match, so it’s all good. Pretty heroic in fact.
