Hah - love that scene. Almost as good as the Powers Booth scene explaining the attack on the USGood all tagged out. Son had a blast. Got to see the old man make a great shot and drug his first deer out out of the woods. Couldnt get him to gut it yet, but his red dawn moment is coming!
I'll say THIS much though after seeing the antics of Gahbell: Stoll's our best bet for someone to put a thrashing on that cocky jerk.
Looked to me like ISU got screwed at 197. If you give Warner the reverse as time is running out you have to give a reversal to Miklus who ends up on top with Warner flat on his back.
I think the Kemerer injury knocked some sense into a lot of people in the 150 point club. Like an inoculation of sorts before today’s display. The Lugo as probable finalist and Wilcke as an improved athlete at 184 things have been strangled in their infancy as well. The DeSanto and Warner as finalists and Murin as mid AA still have some lifeHave to admit hawk nation across the intranet is not imploding as I thought they would.
I'm going to hope you're right. I'll cheer along side of you.Cassar is the best bet there, Stoll #2.
What did he exactly do? Any footage? My favorite part of the match was when Desanto got off his back and he does the Saquon Barkley TD celebration on Gomez's head for the last few seconds. Impressive
I like Desanto, and wish him nothing but the best, but part of me was wishing for the flying squirrel to kimura combo. My favorite part of the match was when Desanto got off his back and he does the Saquon Barkley TD celebration on Gomez's head for the last few seconds. Impressive
To his credit, he definitely fought off getting pinned. What did he exactly do? Any footage?

I had to go watch it to see how bad it was. Anyone who thought the Brands could control this maniac is foolish.
You have an unhealthy anger towards anything to do with Iowa. You might need to see a professional.I had to go watch it to see how bad it was. Anyone who thought the Brands could control this maniac is foolish.

Any footage you can post?

Then don’t read the board if it upsets you that much.I'll be sure to get right on that. Right about the time Iowa fans on HR become human beings instead of the mutants they are.
Not "in a way;" he DID win it with his fight.Absolutely. In a way.....he won the dual with his fight

I think this is harsh. Yes.....he had a few seconds of frustration......but he then went straight to the center of the mat and held out his hand and waited for Gomez to come over. I call that progress.
Perhaps not, but I haven’t seen Cael performing engineering wonders on the paper towel dispenser in the men’s room, and that puts TM right up there with the elite.
ouchI guess when the bar is, "at least he didn't try to break his arm" it would seem mild.
No matter what you think about Desanto lack of effort will never be a part of it!Absolutely. In a way.....he won the dual with his fight. That was impressive. He is exciting to watch......he brings it
Not Marley. This was it.What was Stoll’s walkout music? Really hoping for
Though I guess it should really have bee Turk (I was thinking of the Netflix documentary on Marley).
Lee sounds like he’s been sick. No surprise. Mackall would be lucky to get out of the 2nd period with a healthy LeeStoll and DeSanto were not expected to go. No mention of the same for Lee, so maybe he isn't injured, as many were thinking. He seemed to just clearly run out of gas.

Revelatory! Blues are 1000% underrepresented as wrestling walk out music. If any wrestlers are reading, I’ll give you 10 Uber rides if you walk out to Son House or T Model Ford. Or Screaming Jay Hawkins!
Has to be more than running out of gas. I was listening on the radio (Iowa City AM station) and they were seeing he was really slow reacting and looked punch drunk. I was hoping ISU could get it down to a decision there, but he did hold on for the MD which proved to be the difference.I don't think that Lee lacks for any skills. Pure and simple, he ran out of gas. Could have been the effects of the illness.
I guess that I'm not reading where anyone is "questioning" him. All I read are comments speculating as to why he didn't seem 100%, which he clearly wasn't.The comments in this thread questioning Spencer Lee are funny. Nothing about his performance this weekend changes the fact that the national championship is and will remain his to lose barring major injury.
Or, it could have been the effects of Brands making Lee hate wrestling ...I don't think that Lee lacks for any skills. Pure and simple, he ran out of gas. Could have been the effects of the illness.
I'd sure hope that isn't the case. I'd hate to see a talent like that mentally check out and run the risk of being lackluster.Or, it could have been the effects of Brands making Lee hate wrestling ...![]()
I'm not sure that anyone is refuting it, we simply didn't know that he was sick. Myself included in that.Guys come on Lee had been sick with the FLU have not any of you tough boys never had a winter FLU bug hit you? He was in the hospital needed IV's and can't understand why it so hard for any of you to see that...Lee healthy again techs Glory and this Clone next time or pins.
