I just listened to John Ziegler's appearance on the WRSC this morning and for the second time since this this saga began he made reference to the significance of an alleged tape of Sandusky having sex with a boy. Ziegler shed more light on this today in which he indicated that Bruce Heim told him (Ziegler) that he believed in Sandusky's guilt because he was told by a PSU trustee that this tape existed. Ziegler indicated he thought the trustee that Heim spoke to was Paul Silvis. Ziegler speculated that Ira Lubert told Silvis about this sex tape because Silvis may have questioned the process by which PSU was paying alleged victims and the amount of money being doled out to the alleged victims. Ziegler indicated that he emailed Lubert about the existence of the sex tape and Lubert eventually responded denying the existence of the tape. I would be curious to know the genesis of this story and if indeed it involved Lubert and Silvis, as it is frankly, extremely bizarre. Where would Lubert get such a story? Did he concoct it out thin air and if he did might this suggest that he may be mentally unbalanced? Just food for thought.

This is one of those things that people throw out there without thinking about the logical implications.
I think this was just ANOTHER bogus rumor started by people like Ira Lubert, but IF it was true - think about this - WHY would Ira Lubert know about it? You think its smart for someone like Ira, so involved in TSM and willing to let them host events on his property, to be spreading stories about the existence of a sex tape involving Jerry Sandusky??
My GOD - if I was on the BoT, and Ira told ME that? First thing I'd say would be "Bull." And second thing I would say would be "If that's true, how do YOU know about it???"
Seriously - who wants to see what it is in Ira's old VHS collection now???
Silvis and Lubert seem like the most likely culprits. Not only have they been spreading lies and trashing people, but they were knee deep in the Second Mile.
If there WAS a sex tape - and not just some rumor passed along by Lubert and Silvis - it certainly would have ended up in the OAG and used as evidence in Sandusky's case. Otherwise, SOMEBODY is sitting on evidence (which is a crime) and keeping evidence that is itself ILLEGAL to possess.
So again - WHY would someone like Silvis or Lubert even KNOW about that evidence, and maybe more importantly, why would they spread rumors about its existence?
Wasn't this told to Silvis in response to Silvis questioning the vetting process and the amounts? I think Ira wanted to hush these kids up as soon as possible so as to keep attention away from TSM. What better way than to tell a skeptical Board member that there is a sex tape of Jerry that could blow this thing out of the water even more than it already is?
If Silvis questioned him on the existence of the tape, all Ira has to say is "Do you really want to take that chance?"
Ziggs has got to start providing us with some hard tangible proof instead of these bombastic statements.
Sort of like the whole " I have video taped evidence that this latest accuser was a scam".
We or at least I need to start seeing some proof.

He's already backpedaling from that one. I listened to the show the OP referenced (I rarely listen to JZ, not sure why I decided to today). But anyway, JZ said that he now believes that the narrative is set and won't ever change even if he releases all of the info about the settlement plant. So there you go. Meaning nobody knows if he was full of it or not. Given his track record, it was probably a lot of BS.
I don't think it exists, but it is highly reminiscent of their whisper campaign. Let's count the ways: they were giddy over Freeh's theatrics, they trashed Bradley so bad Erickson felt compelled to document it, they spread rumors about football transgressions that didn't exist, they told Barron and anyone who would listen the settlements contained corroboratef damaging info, etc.
Imagine if the tape was produced at Ira Lubert's camp for The Second Mile. And then Ira's settling with these kids with Penn State money while pinning the blame on Joe. How convenient.
I couldn't care less if there actually was a tape. I've already decided that JS is guilty. However, what I would like to know is, why is it that the only people who know about it are folks on our own BOT. And if it exists, where the hell is it? Producing it would make our BOT completely absolved of blame for the decisions that they made, in the eyes of the world. And if it existed you'd have to think that someone would be making money off of it by now, one way or another.

Listen, I agree that the OGBOT (especially Ira, Surma etc) have done irrevocable harm to Penn State University, Joe's Legacy, etc... but the above is beginning to sound like "foil hat" time...
More could be done on concentrating on what Anthony has uncovered regarding the poor vetting of victims, the conflict of interest of Ira's participation on TSM and PSU boards, his involvement in settlements, and the complete lack of a criminal investigation into TSM... let's provide the evidence needed to have the MSM begin to look at these areas, not a "JS Sex Tape"...

There is no sex tape. There's only Ira saying there's a sex tape to Silvis so that Silvis doesn't fight the crooked vetting or payout process.
Unlike the crooks prosecuting him, Sandusky didn't have so much as a single porn cookie on his computer.
I'd more likely believe there's a Sara Ganim- Stacie Parks-Miller sex tape out there.
Ok, before you start accusing US of "tin foil hat" time, I'd like to remind you that it was not US who started this whole "There is a sex tape of Sandusky" rumor. THAT, my friend, is a rumor spread by Ira, Silvis and other evil members of the BoT. Now, if THEY want to spread innuendos and rumors and hearsay - that's fine I guess - but WE are allowed to call them out on their BS.
Again, since people like Ira Lubert are out there spreading obvious BS rumors - we have two options. #1 - call BS on them. #2 - play along with their little rumors, and then follow those rumors to their next logical conclusions.
OBVIOUSLY the people spreading these rumors about a sex tape are LYING. Because if they are telling the truth? Then they have intimate knowledge of an illegal tape, and apparently only THEY know about it because the OAG certainly doesn't. So why would members of the BoT know about this sex tape and nobody else?
Sorry - can't have it both ways. Can't make up a bogus story and expect people to either call them out for being slime for spreading rumors or call them out for being bigger slimes for the story being true.

When I saw him in the bar in his casino before Franco's "Upon Further Review" back in when, October 2014? I took my Pinot Noir from the bartender and sat down next to him to say "hi" and chat.
In part of that convo, he did feel that Tim, Gary, Graham & Joe all knew of Jerry's predilections - and for that reason, they needed to go.
He also threw Peetzie under the bus. So there's that.
But of course Ira did not know of JS's predilections.
If all of them knew, then how could he not as well??? How could Dr. Jack, Heim, etc not all know??? Lubert is POS coward.

I am utterly unsurprised to hear that. Is there anyone whom Lubert would be reluctant to throw under the bus? I hope some really disturbing news about him manages to hit the front pages before July 22.
What would you do if you had info about Lubert attempting to have a roommate/friend have unwanted sex with a coed around 1969 (friend was standout PSU athlete) while Lubert watched?
