Is Miami going to pursue Seider?

Major Applewhite and Larry Fedora were OC candidates, but Fedora could end up at Temple. Brian Wright of Toledo is also a candidate. Would think they will lock the OC role down first. Unless there is some bad history between Diaz, the U, and Seider, they'd be crazy not to.

We shall see. He just brought two kids up to PSU and I’m guessing gave their families some assurances. Obviously that doesn’t always mean anything but it’s just talk right now

Wow.
**On RB coach, PSU RB coach Ja’Juan Seider continues to be Miami’s top target for the job. Updating my report from yesterday, I’m told it was actually Seider that reached out to Diaz and there has been communication and mutual interest between the parties.
I guess if you are responsible for recruiting FL, it's a lot easier doing that from Miami than State College.

Could just be a move to try to get some more $$ out of Sandy.

This would be a major di#% move after convincing Dunmore to sign with PSU over Miami, then take off to Miami

Yup. And he was the one on the phone with Cain minutes before he announced to assure him he was making the right decision
At the time of that conversation, there weren't any job openings at Miami. I am amazed by the number of people on this board who think that PSU and State College, PA is the dream job/location for every potential and active coach in the country.

Is he leaving for Miami? I have no clue. But, I am certainly open to the idea that a guy who grew up in FL may very well want to move back there, especially if he can get a raise and promotion.

There is a reason more people move from the NE to FL than vice versa and have been doing this for years, regardless of the profession.

It has nothing to do with what I think of PSU of State College. It’s about Seider convincing Florida kids who only considered PSU because of him that they should come to PSU.

Isn’t Seiders son committed to play at penn state as a preferred walk on?

Time to roll that into a scholarship instead of a PWO....kidding. Didn’t Shoops kid stay when he bolted?

Not really a promotion if they just named Applewhite the OC. Maybe they would dangle Co-OC to make it look like a promotion if he’s coming there just as a position coach.

Time for Sandy to increase the budget to pay the man. Money talks and bullshit walks.

Pretty big bummer for Cain and Dunmore if the guy pulled hard for them then bolts for Miami.
Agree, but Manny really put it to Temple. I don't get the point where if MR knew he was going to pack it in, why didn't he tell Manny. There are a few top notch guys that can recruit, and coach RB's.
I like coach Seider, and hope he stays here to build his status, but if he likes Florida then there is nothing that can be done aside from a bargaining war.

Always a trickle down effect and the kids are the biggest losers, as always. Even more so now with the early signing day where kids are at times basically forced to sign by December if they want their spot and are truly committed, plus want to enroll early to get a head start or be on even foot with competition.

Mark Richt "retires" just after signing day, kids get screwed who thought he'd be there. Then Diaz leaves Temple abruptly and kids get screwed who committed to him. Some kids at Miami happy again as Diaz has suddenly returned. Temple kids left in the wind now of who their coaching staff will be. They don't even know what type of scheme will be run. Not to mention all other positional coaches leave one school to go to another all because of Richt retiring, perhaps Seider screwing two more kids at PSU.

The early signing period was created and kids get screwed by committing earlier before coaches get axed etc. NCAA acts like they do things for the student athlete but they could care less, its all about screwing the kids. Glad the kids are fighting back with sitting out bowls etc and thus hurting ratings/attendance of bowl games.

Not to mention the coach at St. Joes Prep who left to coach with Diaz at Temple. Is he going with him to Miami or is he now screwed.

They just hired An OC, Major Applewhite.
But how long will he stay here, as we all have seen, all coaches are liars
