Yep. He’s out for the season just because you didn’t see him today.
Why would your first thought be that he’s out for the season?
it was stated on broadcast he had a head injury from last week and was out for today. that my AKA concussion or similar.

Because he’s a former #1 recruit at his position and was listed first on the depth chart and didn’t play.

The answer is that he took a shot to the head vs UMd last week. It was in various news sources earlier today that he wasn't going to play.
He was hurt for the game....you know, the normal thought.

there is a little negative view on #6. I think this is premature. he had the bad luck of a couple injuries - one killing his FR year. however, he seems to have all the tools. he showed great speed blocking downfield on some long runs - i.e. Ford 80 yd TD. people saying he is open, but Sean seeing other guys open first. i know it can be frustrating having a 5* player not yet impacting, but give him time.

This board is too obsessed with Shorter. Keep in mind he played in a winged T offense in High School , not exactly a pass first offense. Give him so time, I think he's getting ready to break out.

He was hurt on a targeting call, as I remember. He was on the sidelines for the game. He seemed OK, but that doesn’t say much about a concussion, obviously.
Did anybody else notice Cameron Sullivan - Brown was also out for the game ? I don’t even remember seeing him on the sidelines.
WR has been more problematic that most of us would have expected this season. Polk and Johnson departed, Shorter is hurt and there don’t appear to be any real producers in the rotation other than Dotson and Hamler. George might work out, but the true freshmen don’t appear able to get on the field and the 5th year’s Carr and Chisena have not been immediate impact players.
