Is this game in danger of not being a sellout?

The ticket inventory and pricing are controlled by the CFP. All students who requested tickets by the Friday, Nov. 29 deadline received tickets, and no student requests were turned away prior to the Nov. 29 deadline.
As was stated before, that's either an outright lie by PSU or else there was a glitch and students who tried to apply for tickets were never entered into the lottery.

Or the students screwed up the request process, and they are the ones mistaken and/or lying.

It's Xmas means that people have events associated with the holiday. I absolutely have to attend my work Xmas party that night and I'm livid I'll miss some of the later games but that's life.
and many company events were planned long before anyone knew Penn State would be playing on 12/21...if it means anything..one would think SMU will have a VERY small crowd in attendance...why travel from Texas..to be in freezing temperatures in a small remote town in the middle of Pennsylvania called..State College...clearly out of all the playoff games..with home field advantage..no one compares to what PSU is getting this weekend...Tennessee will have a good size crowd as well as Indiana...both away games for them..

Game now a sellout. Officially making this thread exactly what everyone knew it would be: Ridiculous.
Great. Does fewer students mean we won't see the empty seats due to students arriving late?

I'll be interested to see how many dress in white given the temps. Maybe they'll give everyone a white shaker to compensate.

University Park, TX vs University Park, PA

Ticketmaster still has cfp tix. Looks like about half of what was still unsold has sold since I last looked, but resales are $40 (aka why pay $100 when you can grift a grifter out of his?).

It got you guys to get off your asses and come

The people that were coming, came. The ones who weren't going to come, didn't. You acting like a child who everyone wanted to throat punch did nothing to change that.

You probably watch porn and shout at the performers to come, and when they do, you take credit for it.

You cried like a baby over and over and over and over and over and over again, and the only thing it accomplished was making people try to figure out where to hide the body.

Guy had no faith in Penn State's fanbase. Definitely a terrible fan. Anyone who didn't think our fanbase was going to show up and make an impact is just an awful representative of Penn State. Any real fan would have known.

For what it is worth, it indeed was not a sell out.

Of course it was the highest attended CFP playoff game ever so I think that’s okay.

If PSU had 30,000 fewer seats and played an in state opponent who was buying a bunch of tickets, the resale prices would have high too.
I’m having a hard time figuring out who I want to humiliate, Georgia or Notre Dame in the final 4 round. It’s always nice to see a good SEC beatdown, but I just hate those Irish. They did a lot of smack talking online, particularly about the damn ticket prices as if that meant anything.

I mean short of getting a g5 school or a cinderella big ten story Indiana, this was the closest you could have come to an underwhelming home playoff opponent.

If you care about narratives, you'd rather beat UGA, unless you can get Texas in the title game.

I can already hear Finebaum asking, "Is it really a national title if you don't beat a single SEC team to do it?"
