Is Trace McSorley the best ever to throw the rock around at PSU?

He's better than M Rob and DC as a QB IMO. M Rob was a turnover machine through 4 games and managed to get better. While Trace is no where near the athlete, he is most certainly a better QB. I love M Rob too, one of my favorite leaders and players, but I'm just talking about the position of QB. Back to back NYD bowl games and top 10 finishes so far for Trace.

What if you put those two in this offense? What if they have Saquon next to them?
I think after Blackledge and Colllins...there's a very good argument for Trace at #3...I think the change in scheme makes it very difficult to evaluate them though to rank them

It seems like every time we have a great QB or RB, we all want to jump and crown that player as the best ever at his position with Penn State. Let's just enjoy the great ones and hope we keep getting great ones, and in greater numbers so we can with multiple National Championships starting again as soon as next season! Having said that, I really like Trace McSorley!!!!

Chuck Fusina would have been great in this system. Guy was mobile and could sling, see a lot of similarities btw Trace and Fusina. Undersized guys, tough competitors, can run it and pass it. Don't forget that Fusina was runnerup for the Heisman in 78, the guy could really play.

I agree with your evaluation on Chuck, problem is Joe wouldn't let Chuck run in the NC game, he had miles to run in that game but wouldn't , i think that's what cost him that game.
Joe got away from the running qb philosophy, Huffy was outstanding in 71, maybe that's why George Welsh left i don't know.

I think some of you guys are not being fair to Miles, i like him, this years offense running game was initially installed to give Saquon an advantage. Most teams keying on him is an understatement, but what i saw of Miles he has the burners on the edge.
I listened to the PSU post game show with Steve & Jack, while interviewing Miles they told him to relax and take time off and enjoy. Miles replied i'm taking one week off then it's the weight room , i'm coming back stronger, faster, and smarter. I think Saquon rubbed off on him in the right way, his blocking improvement this year was noticable.

To me he’s the best already regardless of not winning a national title.. Terry Bradshaw won four Super Bowls and is probably not a top 25 qb of all time!!! What Trace does for this team is remarkable!!

You're kidding, right? The guy might have had the best combination of arm strength, quick release, accuracy, balls, and natural speed and mobility coming out of college of any QB in history. Remember. They didn't play touch football in the NFL back then. Guys like Brady and Manning wouldn't have lasted more than two or three years.
