it was incredible.

Just a couple of takeaways in a more stable state of Mind.

On 3rd down when we had the ball "last" Hamilton needed to catch the ball and run forward. Into, through blockers. He slowed up and did some kind of spin move. That play was set up beautifully. I was so angry at the time because that was the ballgame. Thankfully we have a FG kicker who is money.

Our stop on 4th of Wisconsin was a thing of beauty. They ran the perfect play but we defended it and made an incredible tackle. Couldn't even see it from the TV angle. Just saw the results based on the players running around.

On our final series when we were just running out the clock, Barkley managed to get down without going out of bounds... but wow it was close. Guy is an unbelievable athlete. The defenders were right there ready to push him OOB.

The final 3 seconds seemed to take forever. At some point I thought Trace would need to take the tackle.

Refs did a nice job IMO. Seemed to call it both ways.

I was so happy after this game I could barely stand up. (edit: I actually fell to one knee not because of drinking but because of the emotion) After all we've been through as fans (those of us who were around the entire time) from Rally 4 Resignations, to the constant Paterno BS, to coaching changes and players leaving and those sticking with us, I was speechless.

one of the beat writers said that TM's last nine throws: 9 for 9 and 243 yards.

His throws were perfect. On TV they look like tossups, but between his throw and the receiver's positioning they are where only the receiver could catch them and an amazingly catchable ball.

With 4 TD'S (if I can find the link I'll share it).

EDIT: this is from the Allentown morning call

"During one stretch, McSorley completed nine consecutive passes for 241 yards and four touchdowns. He was a perfect 5-for-5 in the third quarter, completing passes of 70, 14, 17, 7 and 38 yards. Every play went for a touchdown or first down".

I don't really fault Hamilton for the spin move, Badgers read it pretty well and he had two defenders in front of him. A better block from Gesicki and he might have a better chance going straight ahead.

I was frustrated too with Hamilton not lowering the shoulder and picking up the first. McSorley did that several times earlier in the season. He wouldn't spin but he would slow down as if looking for a wake to juke the defender. When I see the first down marker and there is space between the defender and the O player, it drives me up a wall when they don't run straight ahead and pick up the first down.

Here's the thing. Stopping at the 5 is definitely not going to get a first down. running straight ahead may get a first.

I just recall this play and thinking... well glad we have a great kicker.
