Michie will be along very soon to remind us what a small percentage of alums actually vote. In his bizarro world, he counts all of the alums who didn't vote as votes against Jay so to michie, Jay was crushed in the voting.
Congrats to Jay. Now he can bang his head against a wall like the other alumni trustees have been doing for the past 5 years.
Worth it, even if it only makes for a few uncomfortable cocktail parties.

No, I look forward to Jay's "reign" on the Board of Trustees. I'm confident he will have virtually zero impact.

It would be impossible for Jay's impact to be less productive than the last 3 years of his cohorts.
If I had to choose between counting to 16,322, or counting to 633,678 --- I would always choose the latter.
Counting to larger numbers is ALWAYS better than counting to smaller numbers.

X 3 candidates per voter = 69,000 total votes (if everyone selected three candidates - certainly some voters only selected 1 or 2)
With 16,322 (JVP), 14,744 (Pope), and 13,173 (Jubelirer) that leaves upwards of:
69,000 - 44,000 = 25,000 votes "unaccounted for"

No surprise there. The second he announced he was running it was pretty obvious he'd get a seat even if based on nothing other than his last name alone.

How many voted for a single candidate or just two of three? Is there a list of all of the recipients with their vote totals?
Were I Barry's advisor, I would have suggested, "Kill 'em all, send 'em to hell, and let God sort 'em out."
That math makes no sense.
So 6,678 didn't vote for jay? Unless Barry had the highest vote total, the average ballot had less than 2 votes.
JoePa is looking down and smiling today knowing that Jay has it under control and will soon avenge the wrong that was done
