If Joe doesn't get hurt in the next week is RS will be pulled (95%) according to Coach Smith

Do tell... That definitely ups the ante if true. OSU is coming out strong and ready to play!

Any word yet on Marsteller, Mike?

Everybody is stepping and putting their chips on the table. JoJo is in, Kyle and Myles. The Lions, the Cowboys, The Buckeyes and of course the always excellent Hawkeyes. This one could turn out to be a barn burner and exceptionally fun.

Any possibility the Goofers are getting t shirts printed?

You were doing great until you mention the Goofers. Shoot, if they pull some RS they can finish at #10. They can pull out those old shirts they have and add a 0 after the 1! Saves the school some money on shirts.

Lionlover, if you let me meet that young lady on your picture I will tell you everything I know. Which would probably fry your brain and get me a divorce!
Whoa cowboy, back, i say, back up to, you know, OOB. There is a line for the young lady round hear. We don't do any serious cutting here, if you get my drift.

Frankly, I'll believe this news when Joe wrestles his first match in an Oklahoma State singlet. Until then, he's a redshirt.

Wow, a real hard ass RoarLion. Well John said it. IN JOHN WE TRUST! I was on my knees when I said it, I felt the ground moving too. I think that's how you do it over here, right? lol

I didn't mention the goofs as title contenders. I was just wondering if they were getting their 2016 championship T-ease printed yet. I want one.

I'm not that at all, rather a practical man, though your over-reaction, given your history, is no surprise whatsoever. Love to see the link to what he said, feel free to post it here.

Roar, I'm not even going to answer your question. Some people know what's going on and some are sitting by the computer waiting for someone to tell them what is going on. I know where I'm sitting, don't need to prove it to you. El Jefe not bad. I even like that.

Wow, just wow. I was dead serious. Thought maybe there was something out there in the public domain that wrestling fans might be interested in. Really no need to cop an attitude. BTW, I like where I sit too, and it's not always behind a computer...but I don't act anything like you.

Does Smith know that he has an official spokesperson on our message board? I'll believe it when I see it or he wrestles his first match. The reason I question the move is because of Brock's injury, does pulling the RS make sense at this point?
It does seem like an odd move, but apparently coach said it on his radio interview last night. I didn't hear it, but others did. It only broadcasts about 100 miles from stillwater, I live in Tulsa and can't get it.

Given the time of year, I cannot think of many good reasons why someone would be a "no go" for the rest of the season...
Unless he meant no go @157 specifically.........didn't seem healthy for the young man and I'm all for him moving on from 157. No sure here tho and will await MT to clarify.

Roarlions1 is one of the most grounded posters on this board that provides a TON of great information. A very genuine individual.

Thanks much lion, it's over and done with. Looks like Mike and I have moved on, no harm, no foul...though I'm still interested in the audio if it's available. Ton of respect for John, and I like listening to what's happening in the world of college wrestling, not just PSU. Appears Mr. Tognetti took it another way.

JoJo looks ready to go at the weight, which is more than OSU's other candidates at 157 can say.

If it was only a no go at 157, I feel we would have seen him wrestle 165 at the Scuffle.

Sorry Roarlion for getting a little testy. Didn't I say Chance and our 197 pounder Austin Schafer are in John's doghouse a couple weeks ago. Because of that and Chance not doing well at 157 is the reason why Joe RS (or is it) pulled. Ryan Blees (ankle) is hurt and we really have nobody else. Have to question Flo posting Joe's shirt already being pulled, I'm not hearing that, good chance it will, BUT decision has not been made yet. (1) It is what I'm hearing (2) Why make that decision now, wait a week and see what happens in our 133 wrestle offs beginning of next week or even wait a while because they don't have to make this decision right now, Joe will qualify at Conference Championship alone. (3) Joe wants to go now, but dad knows if Joe had another year how much better he will be next season. (4) Without someone stepping up at 133 we will probably be outside looking in (5) I may have started the thread by saying that, but what I said was he was 95% sure (6) John did say he wasn't making this decision until next week (7) I did say Flo was wrong when they were saying Kaid was going to be OK, also said he was out 4 to 6 months before anybody else. Hey, I could be wrong here but it sure doesn't add up right now. I will eat chow if John already made that decision but I would think John would take his time on pulling that shirt.

Has to be tough to coach your son. Serious talent.

Read Win's article, it was taken from John's talk show on Tuesday in which John didn't pull Joe's shirt at that time. Win's article eluted to a probable, Flo article was a for sure they pulled Joe's shirt but said Win reported it first (probable).

With Brock hurt Okie has to pull Jo Jo's shirt or there chance at a tittle is very limited. I makes perfect sense.

Imo, it makes sense only if everything in Joe's wrestling life is in order. Too many kids have to adjust to more than just the wrestling room and college talent when they arrive from high school. Almost all have never dealt with the proper way to manage nutrition, sleep, college academics, weight loss (the right way), college social life, and on and on. Being John's son, Joe has a huge jump on all that stuff, and surely is more ready than most. Still, it's a huge decision...if they wrestle him this year, they won't have him for a year sometime later. It's a trade-off, and takes a big picture view.

Cael still takes crap about not going all in last year according to the message board vampires. Since he can't coach his time was spent managing the future that is now. Maybe just maybe One of the best psu teams in history.

Jon isnt that lucky with his curent roster. his 157 situation is in the toilet and maybe the hoosegow soon....letting Jojo go may be his only option regardless of his championship aspirations.

I want to see Ok State show up in NYC with the best team possible. Same goes for Iowa, tOSU and every one else. That way, whoever claims the title, (hopefully PSU) will be able to say they definitely earned it. Plus, it's the best thing to keep the sport going. The fans and ESPN would love to see something like 3 or 4 teams within striking distance going into the finals. I admit I don't think it will turn out like that, but you can imagine the excitement if it did.
