Love to see Jude Swisher doing well out there--got a fall in his first bout, up 7-0 w/ 1:34 after 1 in his second. He and his family sit right behind me at Rec. Wins 17-0
Somewhere there’s a joke that of course he did - how else would have Beau scored?
But I’m truly kidding and a big fan of Beau. (Just wish he was a bit more aggressive vs being a counter wrestler.)
You can argue that Cornella was the aggressor during the match. Beau’s scrambling was outstanding.

Really like what I’ve seen from Josh Barr today. Competition isn’t particularly good but there is plenty for the coaches to work with there.
Yeah, not great from Howard, and he should be able to handle this level of competition. But we may need to be patient for a guy who's been out with injuries the last two seasons. This is Howard's first competition in a long while, and he may still be knocking off rust. Hopefully the injuries won't have a long-term impact, but the jury is clearly still out on that.
JB seems intent on missing Brooks, Starroci and Kerkvliet matches today. On the other hand, it seems Brooks has grown into Cassar's famously always broken headgear. Maybe Kraft can get our big guys some new stuff sometime. It's still 0-0 between Brooks and F&M's Crawford 25 seconds in.

The disappointing thing for me watching Howard in these last two matches was his lack of just competing. This kid was a tough SOB out of high school with a mean streak. Didn’t see any of that. Injuries can mess with your head..maybe he just doesn’t trust his stuff?
Guessing McHenry banged up. Would have liked to seen him.

Braeden Davis time? He’s gonna overlap with Lilledahl and Gibson anyway. Obviously you start with Steen, but wonder if Davis may not end the season as a starter.
Haines' next match is the 157A 1st place match. Does that end his day or is there something after with the other 157B,C,D,& E guys?

I'm standing next to Davis and Steen as they are about to wrestle off. Davis looks like he's 15 years old. Makes Steen look like he's 30.
Hopefully he's the baby face killer, but boy he looks like he could use a RS.
I know you're just spit-balling here, but let's give Howard some more run time before writing him off for the season.
I haven't seen much of Davis, but he sure seems like a guy who would benefit from a redshirt.
Saw him at PSU Iowa match last year and thought the same thing. Looked like a junior high kid. Lol
