Beau was just on Baschamania ... another great episode.

Few things that stood out:
1. Beau talks about adjusting to the room. Like many other hammers, he said he was getting beat bad. He said he wondered if he was even good at wrestling. But now his confidence is sky high.
2. He talks about how he got into graphic design. It's just something that piqued his interest and he did it on a whim and slowly worked to get better at it until it's become a legitimate side hustle for him. The mentality here is what I love, he just wants to continuously improve.
3. He's not overly worried about NIL. He said he is open to opportunities but would rather just focus on wrestling (said it can be awesome and that RBY does it well and does it the right way)
4. He likes freestyle more than folkstyle (like everyone else) But he said the hype behind the colleges of folk style is just so awesome.
5. Here's a major thing ... he doesn't see himself sticking in wrestling very long. Said as of today, he sees himself being an Attorney long term probably. I know Beau originally was committed to Princeton (and went to Wyoming Seminary, a prestigious boarding school) so he obviously is very intelligent. Awesome to see he has a plan in the future.

Did Beau discuss weight classes, redshirting, etc?

Nothing about redshirting. Nothing substantive about weight classes, just what he's said before -- that he doesn't really care what weight he goes, he'll adjust his diet accordingly.

If anyone hasn't seen it yet ... it was a decent but not great podcast. Beau was good. The problem was that Basch interviewed Basch, and Beau got in a few words here and there.

This is the problem I have with Basch. He talks so damn much.

This is Ms. Blades vs. presumably the 2nd best wrestler in the world in her age level.

In Olympic years I think Welker will always be left at home. In WC years all should be good to go. Amit and Blades should keep our recent dominance at the women’s upper weights going. Just need to find a bunch of small women to compete with Japan lol.

Emily Shilson will compete with the Japanese. I see her being a world champion at the senior level. I see your point though because other than Emily I don’t know that we have any world champions in the making at the lower weights. Our upper weights are stupid good however.
