Just got my Bucknell tickets. Pumped up!!

Love both cities. All my kids attended college at some point in Philly, and I spend a whole bunch of time in Pittsburgh. Very different cities, and there's places I wouldn't go in both, but far more good than bad. Seems to be a Pennsylvania thing to hate one, love the other, with many folks.

I love the rivalry. It's the tension between the two that makes Penn State what it is. Sheetz and Wawa plaid. Yinz and Yous.

You need to get out more. ;)

Good news and bad news.

Good news: For the first time in 31 years Dad and I both shot bucks on Monday morning. Actually it was more than great because both were tagged before 8am and an hour before the hard rains came. He an 8 pt and I a 10 pt. My dad is 78 yo (and really showing his age lately) and we hunt a pretty remote area of the northern tier, so we are both still beaming from this accomplishment. This also gets my son in the tree stand Saturday for the first day of doe season.

Bad news: Doe season comes in Saturday and wont allow me to get to the BU match, nor the F** prematch in L-burg. I gave my tickets to a few friends, who might show up at the TT.

If you see two guys with name tags of Spyker Jr and PD4theSpawn, treat them nice!:p:D;)

Where is the pic? Bummer that you won't be there, but that is awesome!

You know I'll be buying spiker a beer to pump him for information.

Ha...enjoyed those colloquialisms decades ago in college. Add flip-flops v thongs, and soda v pop. Others?

C. Are you coming over after the match for AWL?
Is there a scheme to get this up on TVs at the pub after the dual? Or were you inviting HockeyGod to your house? My bro and I would be into watching what is left of AWL after the dual (if it's still happening--freestyle is generally quicker than folk).

He shared with me, and I can't attend. Tell you anything? :)

That he has favorites? LOL, just kidding, I will be watching here in the Wilkes-Barre area! My wife is a big Zain fan so she expressed interest in watching. I need to look into how I can watch on my tv.

Enjoy!! Great that your wife can watch with you. Must admit, wrestling has been an acquired taste for Mrs. Roar. She loves all of my many wrestling friends, but has only, within the past 5 years or so, latched onto enjoying the wrestling. Helps that she gets to know so many good people that make Penn State wrestling great.

My two sons spent a combined 16 years in youth, Jr High, and High School wrestling, so my wife spent quite a few hours in gyms as a wrestling mom, so she understands the sport, or at least she did after a few years (or so...)

She actually enjoys watching other kids wrestle much more than she ever enjoyed watching our kids wrestle, due to the point that someone was trying to bend her baby in half. We make it out to about two meets a year at PSU and she calls last years PSU/tOSU match THE MOST EXCITING SPORTING event she has ever seen (emphasis hers!). She actually prefers most PSU wrestling meets over PSU football games, due to the warmth of the gym over your typical October Beaver Stadium temp.

86 was in the row behind me and I can attest to the fact his crew was rockin that night. Of course everyone was..........

Our guys loose and ready to rip, while the robed wonders were ready to slip.

Even thinking about that night gets my blood pumping again. Hard to imagining anything topping it (but alas, I was not in Cleveland last March).

I have three extra tickets to the Bucknell match. Bought them through the university but friends now have a conflict. I paid $20 per ticket, which is face value. Please let me know if you are interested. I can meet you outside the Sojka Pavilion prior to the match. Thank you!

I thought the only bar in Lewisburg was the Town Tavern?!
I agree, I'm a local and I prefer the Town Tavern. Second would be the Lewisburg Hotel. Bull Run is popular with the Bucknell crowd but I don't know anyone who goes there regularly. The nearby Caribbean and Thai restaurants are both great.

Are the tickets still available?

I have gone over they edge, this weekend,, just left Pittsburgh for the Bucknell match, post match staying in State College, rush back to Pittsburgh for wife's noon Christmas party, leave Pittsburgh 6:30 am Sunday for Roar's Prematch luncheon (Thanks Roar). Christmas is early.

BTW, we arrived 15 min ago and traffic wasn't bad. 3rd St to University Presidents house = zero cars until we got to the stop sign at the student union bldg.

Traffic via 7th St = 10 car backup at the student union bldg stop sign.

Bucknell has a traffic cop in front of Sojka.

Bldg lobby is a total zoo. Small lobby, bigger crowds than they're used to, lots of columns, plus several tables taking up space. If possible go up the steps as soon as you enter the bldg, before the lobby.
