Terrible news from the Dominican Republic is currently the headline on espn.com. Royals right-handed pitcher Yordano Ventura was killed in a car accident today. He was just 25.

Driving in the Dominican Republic can be equated to dodge- um cars. Crazy intersections, not many traffic signals, especially in smaller towns. Basically a free for all. Very scarey. Sad story, but if youve ever been there, you envision many accidents.

Andy Marte was also killed in the Dominican in a separate car crash either today or yesterday. Wonder if he is related to the Marte who plays for the Buccos.
