KC fan in blackface?

Lebatard called the boy's outfit racist and defended Carron's article, which had as its premise that the face paint was racist.
Lol...LeBarard says "the only part that wasn't racist was the black face paint"...and we should take that to mean "the face paint was racist" or "you should never wear black and red face paint, or you're a racist"?

Interesting take on it.

You're obviously meant to link to a different article then, since that article didn't say that at all...again, the claim is that LeBatard said "because he said you should never use the red and black combination on your face, no matter what, because it's racist."

Where did he say that?
Quote:

The right picked this up and said, ‘Sue Deadspin, bankrupt Deadspin.’ And I can’t help but laugh at the center of this, I can’t help but laugh at the idea that they want them sued for one racism, while the kid is still in full racist garb. The only part of him that’s not intentionally, kind of, racist is the black part! The rest is team colors and he’s going for just being a fan, but the racism is already in there, just not the kind the right is picking up and flogging Deadspin with over a five-year-old kid. Like, the stupidity of this is remarkable.”

And so again...where in there did he say that wearing black and red facepaint is racist, so that this "gotcha" tweet from the guy at Outkick is factual at all? The guy claimed that LeBatard said "you should never use the red and black combination on your face, no matter what, because it's racist." He had issue wtih the rest of the costume obviously, but he never said anything about the red and black combination being racist, did he? That's being incredibly loose with the facts...yet it pulls people in hook, line, and sinker.

Why shouldn't we be looking for our media to actually report facts, rather than make them up to fit a good narrative? (ie, how this entire thing began)

Wow, are you reaching. He said the kid was still in full racist garb. That means his entirety.

Guy got trapped and refuses to admit it. So he doubled down. Lost again.

Are you arguing the tweet didn't quote Lebetard properly? Because, the quote didn't actually try to quote Lebatard, nor did it claim to. It drew an inference, which given the quote and the context around it seems fairly reasonable. it almost feels like you're arguing something that no one is claiming.

It just shocks me sometimes how people on the fringes of each side will twist things to make them into what they want to be. He literally said "the only thing that wasn't racist was the black facepaint"...and someone writes a tweet claiming that LeBatard said that the facepaint was racist and showed a picture of LeBarard in similar colored facepaint as a "gotcha"...and people have no issues whatsoever with it.

The premise of the tweet was that LeBatard said that wearing black and red facepaint is racist...then showed a picture of him wearing black and red facepaint as a "gotcha".

If there was a picture of him wearing a Native American Headdress, I could see it...but it completely misconstrued what he said. You even have people here saying "you can't make this stuff up", when it was actually made up.

Anyways, I'm checking out...not worth the time since the guy from Outkick could have made up whatever he wanted to and there would be people twisting things in their minds to back him.

Here is the tweet one last time...

The problem with Dan LeBatard and the guy who wrote the article is they don’t know what racism is….seems to be a big problem with people in the media today.

Different kid, same absurdity

This just has become such an unserious and effeminate country when you have these cultural busy bodies tearing down statues and suspending boys for wearing eye black at football games and turning boys into girls, etc., while you have countries like China that are planning a global takeover by being as ruthless as possible.

Nothing…which is why I’m guessing there will be some type of payday in the family’s future.
If I remember correctly, John Randle did this all of the time when he played for the Vikings. Aiden Hutchinson now does it too.

The outrage over the outrage is the same outrage.
It's precisely how they want you to operate.

The masters make the rules for the wise man and the fools.

Yeh, people probably ought to not say anything. That will make it right.
Come On Please GIF by NBA
Yeah that seems to work. Great take.
A population divided is easier to control.
Some will never get it because they're to lost in their own convictions.

Always take the hard right over the easy wrong. If you will not stand for others when they are wronged, will you be the next target?
What are you even talking about about?
What is right and what is wrong? There is no answer, it's complete individual perception.
People make mistakes. Happens every day on every level. Guy will probably lose his job, probably have a hard time getting another one. Keep kicking the dude.
Standing up for someone's culture wars is way different than standing up to someone is gonna punch you in the face. Keyboard muscles are a joke, they help nobody but your own ego.
Culture wars are a joke, they exist only to control you.
Being convicted to a certain way or certain behavior doesn't validate anything, it just hardens your insides. Have at it....The right way. Whatever the F that is.

You don't know what is right and what is wrong here? A kid being suspended for painting his face like football players at a football game? This after another kid was drug through the mud by the media for painting his face at a different football game? It's very easy to determine right and wrong in these cases.
Do you know them? Do you know what their true intentions were? Do you think they'd tell people anything other than what they want to hear at this point whether completely innocent or completely nefarious? Doubtful.
The same people been doing the same things since the beginning of time.
Nothings really changes, except the fact the masters harvest and broadcast your differences. That's it.

I know it's wrong the way certain 'adults' think it's OK to target children. ****ed up.
