Last year's first round loss to Dom Forys, a 3x qualifier, never an AA but nevertheless AA-caliber, is probably a pretty good indication of where Keener is, or at least was somewhat recently.
In the first he looks better than Forys for awhile, gets to a leg but can't convert. Then Forys goes behind for 2 while Keener was broken down and off-balance. Has problems getting out underneath Forys. Does a good job fighting off another go-behind in the second. Gets caught flat-footed late in the second as Forys gets an easy two. Still game in the third, nearly gets a TD of his own but loses him, then Forys outworks Keener on the edge to make it 7-1. Escape, then Keener gets caught flat-footed again as Forys too-easily grabs a leg and converts. 10-2 final but feels like it could've been closer, like Keener doesn't have too far a gap to close.
Good on his feet, quick, reacts well, not crazy strong but athletic, fundamentally sound. Looks like he could use more confidence fighting through positions; in Forys match he seemed to give up earlier than he should have a few times.
