My wife drives a 2012 KIA Optima. It has 102K miles and has been a very good car. About one month ago the engine seized out of warranty. However, KIA had some rod bearing issues on a number of vehicles and this was one. They replaced the engine, the intake manifold, and the starter. Now for the good part. We were given a new warranty....999 months or 999,9999 miles WHICHEVER COMES FIRST 🤣 . That is not a typo. I asked for and received it in writing. Crazy. Oh, and the warranty is transferable. Anyone here ever heard of such a thing?
