While he admittedly has friends on the team, Snyder brings a different mean streak to this one.

"Something about when you put them all together and they wear a Penn State singlet," he said. "I just want to destroy them. ... I just want to beat them worse than I've wanted to beat any team since I've been at Ohio State."

Let's go then... Kyle.

I won't put it past him but i will be very surprised if Rasheed pins Moore

I take this as Snyder trying to get his team and fans excited about the biggest dual meet of the season.

I suppose on top of that there is a bit of jealousy against a team that has won everything for so long. Everybody either loves or hates a sports dynasty. Not many are in between.

Kyle’s comment is how I believe he should feel. Good stuff. Good for the sport!
Good for the sport?
Which sport MMA?
This is college right?
Maybe my age is showing, but what happen to sportsmanship & respect for your opponent?

Wouldn’t bother me at all if he said these things PRIOR to Nolf good by down.

A lot easier to run your mouth knowing your opponent is not at full strength- missing their #1A weapon
Easier still to run your mouth against Northwestern or Indiana or Michigan State, right?

Without scanning his twitter feed, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Snyder didn't tweet anything significant about those teams.

2 Time World Champion, Olympic Gold Medal winner. 2 NCAA champion. And he's fired up to beat PSU. I think that tells you something about great PSU wrestling really is. Even with one of our best wrestlers out.

What was said that was disrespectful? That he wants to beat us more than anything? There’s no trash talking there, just passion and rivalry. Not much different than rivalry from whatever era you are from. There’s are not too many current guys in wrestling that are respectful as Snyder. He gets it.

I see they stole the Miami football turnover chain idea and now have an Ohio State wrestling “pin chain”.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

A lotta bluster from a guy who's earned the right to flex as much as he wants. Still--I agree, absolutely nothing disrespectful about sharing a desire to "crush" a worthy rival. In a little over a month, I'll never root against the guy again, probably.

He does know he can only wrestle one of the 10 matches though, right?

I doubt Snyder harbors any of that jealousy.

My sentiments exactly. And I'm sure if Suriano stuck around he'd be real humble and sportsmanlike.

I kinda thought the same thing. Nolf went down and they/he smelled blood in the water. He might have done it anyway, who knows.

Yeah. Again. Not a big deal at all

And I’d have LOVED to see this last week. But it rings a bit hollow following the Nolf injury.

I don't care who he is, or how many times he could whip my butt, but I'll be danged if I care one lick in Hell for what any old BUCKEYE has to say. He can win as much as he can win, but he ain't a Pennsylvanian, and worse still he's still a dirty BUCKEYE no matter what. He chose that life and condemns himself! GO STATE!!!!

When you’ve accomplished what Snyder has you can say whatever you want...whenever you want.

We will just have to project the estimated 8-9 point swing that Nolf's absence costs us to see what might have been if both teams were at full strength.

Disagree

Even a fool, if he keeps silent, is thought to be wise.

I should know!
I see your point but the guy is an Olympic & World Champ and he’s still in college...hell with the NCAA titles. That said, someone said it best...his comments about wanting to beat PSU, when he’s “COMPETING AT THE WORLD AND OLYMPIC LEVEL; WITH SUCCESS” speaks to how great PSU is and has been the past 7-8 years...they’re on his Bucket List...nice place to be...
