Leaving Pitt in tears!

Glad Pitt lost. All week the Pittsburgh papers, the local sports reporters, the talk shows, the coaches, and the players were all talking about how they could get twelve wins and tie the record of most wins. One article talked about how this team may be the best Pitt team ever.....which is crazy talk. None of the articles or talking heads I heard said anything about how they were playing fourteen games when those other teams played only twelve.

Trying to equate 12-2 with 12-0 is so Pitt. Especially when one of the loses is to W Mich.....WESTERN MICHIGAN!! Just ‘Pitt’itful!

Yep. I saw that crap about the best team ever.

Pure shid.

Tough way to end the season, but was a great time nonetheless! Sure the game would’ve been different if Pickett played, but Walker was out for Sparty as well. No point in doing the “woulda coulda shoulda” game, goes both ways. I thought the guys who did play played hard. MSU made some phenomenal plays, they deserved to win. Happy New Year’s to my Pennsylvania brethren.

Good perspective. No doubt that the Pitt players were intense the whole game. Happy New Year to you.

I thought Pitt played well and were far more physical than I expected. I don’t like Narduzzi and the majority of the Pitt fans nauseate me but they had a memorable season. Biggest midget in the room - lol.

They will be decent next year and would end up being like an Iowa lite in the Big 10. They would likely be physically very run down in a conf like the SEC or the Big 10 compared to this years ACC. But credit where credit is due. Where else can a team achieve champ yet lose to team that is 4th in the MAC West?
I agree. I thought Pitt played well and hard considering they were without two QBs But I also understand the glee

I do give Pitt credit for being competitive deep into the 4th quarter while playing, for the majority of the game, their 3rd string QB against a quality opponent. Be it talent level, preparation or, most likely, a combination of the 2, I doubt PSU could do the same with their 2nd or 3rd string QBs, given what we saw transpire back in Oct/Nov.
I made the same point last night and I agree.

I grudginly give Pitt credit for keeping it so close with a 3rd string QB. No one hates Pitt more than me.

To call this the best Pitt team ever is ludicrous. To call this Pitt team the one that played the weakest schedule ever is more accurate.

Pitt would have been 7-5 if they played in the Big Ten. They were lucky MSU screwed up enough to keep it that close.

Why do goofy coveralls only come with Black and Yellow stripes?
they are not unheard of in many college fandoms

Good luck in finding any sympathy for a member of their fan base on this board. They are a collection of gigantic assh*les who deserve every bit of misfortune that comes their way. F*ck them.
Not sympathetic to anything Pitt. Having said that, I saw how many of my fellow Penn Staters melted down after every loss this season.
