125 Gary Steen v Carter Bailey
- Oof. Steen goes headlock at the end of the period and looked to have it but Bailey slipped it and got behind for two.
- Bailey gets out from bottom to start the second to go up 3-0.
- Bailey went for a trip, ended up with a leg, Steen fought it off.
- Steen starts out third from bottom. Steen rolls, Bailey follows, puts in legs and settles in with a ride.
- Steen gets out with a minute remaining. 3-1, Bailey didn't get RT, so Steen can tie with a TD.
- Steen tries a duck, it doesn't work. 3-1 final.

No action thru a minute. Bailey duck gets nothing. Bailey shoots 20 secs to go. Nothing. Steen throws a headlock, looked like he had something, but Bailey got out out of it and got the TD. 2-0 after one.
Bailey escapes. 3-0. Bailey in deep. Weird position. Steen counters with a nearside cradle. Nothing. 3-0 Bailey after two.
Bailey double boots and gets Steen flat. Steen gets hips up but flattened again. Steen to his feet. Out. 3-1 Bailey. 1:05 to go. RT should be about 45-50 secs. PSU wrestling Twitter has to stop telling me what I haven’t yet seen. 3-0 Bailey is the final.

I'm not watching, but Steen tries to hit a standing headlock with 8 seconds left in the period? Does that ever work?
133 Karl Shindledecker vs Connor McGonagle
- McGonagle gets a leg and gets the TD early, now cranking Shindledecker's left shoulder but basically stall riding.
- There's no RT clock but McGonagle is definitely way over it, very little fight from Shindledecker, and McGonagle content to ride high and parallel.
- Shindledecker hit with a stall warning. Period ends 2-0.
- McGonagle chooses bottom, and is up and out, 3-0.
- McGonagle takes finger to the eye, match stopped briefly.
- Shindledecker with a nice shuck but can't convert, both guys have legs in a scramble. PD called.
- Period ends.
- Shindledecker wisely chooses neutral to start the third.
- Shindledecker looks go-behind, McGonagle counters with his own, lifts, gets the two. 5-0 with RT locked, :58 left.
- McGonagle rides high, Shindledecker E1 makes it 5-1.
- It'll end 6-1. Shindledecker did well to avoid the MD, but McGonagle could've done more to secure it.

Hard to win if you can’t score. Didn’t give up much but also didn’t really open up.
I know we are hoping for a little more, but Steen was definitely in that match.
Shindledecker ain’t looking too bad. Well done, young man.
Shindledecker definitely earned that start all things considered.
We can afford to be patient with Steen this year, but ranked or not, that's Lehigh's backup to Jaret Lane. So "in the match" isn't really much consolation.
141 Beau Bartlett v Malyke Hines
- Hines looked go-behind, but Bartlett easily countered, 2-0.
- Hines out, 2-1.
- Not much happening here at all. Bartlett now getting a bloody nose tended to with :34 remaining.
- Bartlett with a front headlock now, looking to muscle him, but Hines defends as period ends.
- Bartlett starts on bottom, Hines riding high, and Bartlett looking to turn in. Bartlett runs out of bounds to get the E1. 3-1 Beau.
- Bartlett working from front headlock, spins behind with time winding down to go up 5-1, as period ends.
- Bartlett on top now, Hines has :27 RT advantage.
- Bartlett lets Hines up, 5-2.
- Hines with a double that catches Bartlett by surprise, cutting lead to 5-4.
- Bartlett out easily, 6-4.
- Hines with a single, but Bartlett counters with a quarter nelson and goes behind. 8-4.
- Bartlett rides him out. 8-4 win.

Not sure how it’s not stalling when Hines spends half the match on his knees
26th. Bailey's specific wins/losses are enough to get a wrestler in the bottom of the rankings early in the year.
Mason Beckman will likely tweet the answer to this question.
Good counter TD off a 3/4 Nelson. But the more I watch Beau at 141, the more I look forward to seeing him at 133 next year.
Some of these responses, you'd think Bartlett lost. This is who he is as a wrestler lol
