Lehigh Match Thread!!

It's as much a Lehigh thread as a Max Dean thread. The Cornell wrestling community is more interested in Lehigh than in Max Dean (dual meet rivalry, EIWA championsh

JB one of the most consistent PBP guys out there. Credit to him on that. Unfortunately, he's consistently clueless.

He needs a spotter. Nick Nevills did a good job one time as a guest. I’d love if an articulate ex wrestler got a job to assist him as a color man to supplement his enthusiasm and great voice with technical analysis.
Perfectly fair! One of the reasons I like Ironside a lot is because he provides that passion with a very high level understanding of the sport.

I'm a bit of a pedant when it comes to wrestling announcing and a lack of technical knowledge really annoys me, even though it's mostly unfair on my end.

But also hating the enemy's radio guy is a time honored fan tradition haha

The Big10 should never ever let Young and Marinelli near a mic again.

I actually like to watch a lot of the matches with no audio at all. For myself, I seem to catch more of the smaller details of the match this way.

You, Dake and a couple other guys?
Pretty sure <checks notes> that Dake is not part of the Cornell community any more. But you knew that!

(out of curiosity, Cornell Wrestling FB group has 61K followers; the Twitter has 29.5K followers; the IG account has 39.2K followers).

That is almost as relevant as tOSU national recruiting champs.

Just now catching up on my reading. No complaints on the refereeing or excuses on why our guys (one in particular) lost. The six guys that won did so convincingly. Even the three decision wins (Bartlett, Facundo, Brooks) were never in doubt. Steen was a handful for Bailey, was in on a couple good shots, and could turn that bout around next time as he continues to improve. Shindledecker is a 125 pounder filling in at 133 against a ranked wrestler, and kept the bout to a decision. Had some good solid attacks along the way, but was muscled out of them. I continue to see improvement by Barraclough, who has become a superb rider. A go-to shot wound be nice so he can improve his offense. No one works harder in the room (though plenty work as hard!). Dean lost and will learn, no excuses. On this day, Beard was the better wrestler. They were close in the room last season and they're still close. Either could win next time, though I'll go with Dean.

I’ll put in a bid here for one Mr. Jeremiah Moody.

Think about it.

Or, if you never heard the man provide color on a match . . . well,
