now that we have a December signing day, why don't they move the second day back to say end of April? this would allow final determination of academically qualified and also know what players may not be returning from the current squads. this also creates distance between coaching changes and recruiting players - eliminating another piece of noise.

There is no signing "day." Just over 99% of recruits sign on the first day of the signing period. The end of the now-late signing period is April 1

How may schools are done at the end of April? And there will still be kids trying to get qualifying test scores in May, June, even July.

Even if a kid has all of his credentials completed, it still takes weeks/months before the NCAA Eligibility Center sprinkles holy water on them.

But don't let any of this stop you from coming up with more great ideas and commentary.
