I know we are solid at QB, RB, WR, TE and secondary. How are we doing on the LOS on both sides of the ball? Hoping someone says we are killing it!!

Im concerned it's a position we are not recruiting higher numbers at. If you believe like I do, both lines determine a championship level team, I'd like to think we would bring in more numbers. For whatever reason, I have to believe Franklin and Traut are trying, we just don't seem to have the recruiting success on the lines as we do in other positions.

Wish I had better news. Brought in 2 guys last year - 1 blue chip in Tengwell and a lower star guy in Bruce who is already off the team. 2022 has 4 guys, but only 1 blue chipper. Hopefully the other three 2022 guys pan out or the line could be a mess by 2023.

Wow, if we only have one guy from last year we are hurting bad. Oline needs lots of bodies. And injuries are common.

Another Ivy League All Star OL has already committed next year as a transfer.

I would almost rather we have 3 star RB's playing behind a bunch of 5 star OL guys.

If you look at Georgia's and Bama's recruiting classes over the last few years you will note that they recruit a lot of 4 & 5 star OL and DL. I believe the LOS is where games are won and lost.
It doesn't hurt when they have 5 star QB's and RB's behind them as well!

^^^^^so much this. RB'S for all the glitz are fairly replaceable honestly and easier to find/recruit. We have a glut of 4* backs and id take iowas in a heartbeat. Its the precise reason runningbacks are getting less and less money in the NFL. Plenty of big fast backs that can run through a hole, creating the hole seems to be the part that evades us.

Yep, very similarity the glamor boy QBs. Get a great line, create a great running game, and give the QB all day to throw and most college QBs will look like All Americans. Most of them have strong arms, accurate when given time, and can find receivers. It all starts with a great line. There is a reason why very few of all those great Ohio State QBs have had little success in the NFL.

the OL as a whole is actually not bad in terms of 4* players on the roster, if that is the measuring stick. In fact, we may be as good as Iowa and Wisconsin (two of the OL oriented programs) in terms of just recruit rankings.
