I m a huge Emily fanA nice article on Martin Strayer support for wrestling in general and Penn State wrestling specifically.

Picture of Martin and his wife, Dixie Chick Emily Strayer, at Rec Hall. Sadly, Emily didn't make the trip the afternoon that I was drinking with Martin.
I'm not sure who but they definitely hung with Randolph and Mortimer Duke. Rutgers game in '94, wet outside I think. My friend Chad and I pass this unbelievable tailgate with chef, etc only a few old couples. The nicest RV I've ever seen in person. They invited us over and it was unreal, steaks, beautiful marble inside of the RV, bottled beer, liquors. (No Bush Beer if recall). They were apparently big time Penn State Grads and Donors from what I do recollect but, unfortunately I don't recall much from those years, except my academic rigor and pursuits.
Shalom
Nicole Kidman, back around 2002 or 2003.
I’ll be damn. I happened to have been at that game as well (MSU and Spartan Stadium is an underrated venue, IMO - and always a good time out there)
Anyway, also happened to have tailgated at that game w someone who would probably fit the profile of “most notorious/famous” (but I ain’t gonna’ say who )

At Penn State. It wasn't exactly "tailgating," per se. It was more like hanging out outside a bar that I couldn't get into. And now that I think back on it, it might not have been Nicole Kidman. I think it was just some homeless woman. You serious?
Where was this please??
You say [puh-TAY-toh], ...And now that I think back on it, it might not have been Nicole Kidman. I think it was just some homeless woman.
so you got treated by Nassar?I’ll be damn. I happened to have been at that game as well (MSU and Spartan Stadium is an underrated venue, IMO - and always a good time out there)

She’s baaaack!My sig pic girls.
Sorry guys- but it’s a Private tailgate.
There is no penalty on the play.
Don't forget Shlelds and Sully.I suppose the most "famous" person I ever tail-gated with would be Tad Potter - part-owner of the Pittsburgh Penguins from 1971 until 1975. His family lived across "The Valley" from where I grew up. His son - Terry, was in my fraternity; which is how I gained admittance. They owned one of those "space-aged" GMC motorhomes and hosted great tail-gate parties.
Don't forget Shlelds and Sully.
Franco Harris
Lydell Mitchell
Was invited to Franco's tailgate by a mutual friend. I was wearing a PSU polo shirt and Steelers cap so Franco and I talked for a while.
Ended up talking to Lydell for a long time. Great guy.
Bobbie Jo Solomon (Blue Sapphire from the early 2000's) stopped by our tailgate once after the game.
No. My wife and her sorority sisters knew a number of Fijis as undergrads. I got to meet some of them myself. Nice guys.LOL - Someone has a sharper memory than I do... Is that you. Terry?
She’ll just have to remove itHope the flag-kini doesn't trigger anyone
