Curious. Your thought never really crossed my mind. Does the NCAA take care of any legend in any sport? Should they? That would seem to be a school thing.I rode an escalator to the upper deck with him and his wife before finals in Pittsburgh. I still can't believe the NCAA doesn't do something to take better care of a 4xer.

ESPN would take care of him, if he had changed weights 2 more times.Curious. Your thought never really crossed my mind. Does the NCAA take care of any legend in any sport? Should they? That would seem to be a school thing.
Thanks...first world problems in the scheme of things...He's referring to the fact that his tickets were in an upper section.
Best of luck to him in coaching. Gotta be a relief from the grind all those years.

I'll never forget the picture of Stieber standing in the center of the mat with his hand out, after just beating Ramos. Ramos didn't behave the best, but Stieber was very gracious. I agree that the tOSU guys behave well. I love to cheer against them (after all, we're rivals), but I give them credit for how they handle themselves. Iowa doesn't in general have as great a testimony that way, but I've always liked the way Lee, Kemerer, Sorenson and Brooks handle themselves.Always a class act like all of the tOSU guys. Always enjoyed watching him compete.
...I also rode that escalator... I wonder why the NCAA doesn't take better care of Octogenarians...![]()
He’s a vegan so he probably takes no joy in eating anywayNot to mention being able to eat. 61 kg was a pretty substantial cut for him.
oliver, zane, and unofficially Dardanes.who all beat him in college? i reckon its a tiny list
found this "Stieber finished his NCAA career with a record of 119-3"
i'll keep hunting down the names

think i know which match with dardanes. scoreboard screwup?oliver, zane, and unofficially Dardanes.
Maybe when one of the four-timers turns octogenarian, the NCAA will give them a prime seat....I also rode that escalator... I wonder why the NCAA doesn't take better care of Octogenarians...![]()
I've never had occasion to ride an escalator with other NCAA sports legends, so I don't know. The NCAA certainly holds tickets for other people, so why not the maximum of eight tickets it could take for the current 4xers, if they would want them and don't have other plans that night?Curious. Your thought never really crossed my mind. Does the NCAA take care of any legend in any sport? Should they? That would seem to be a school thing.
You can't really count the Zain match, wasn't he sick according to Tom? Logan always seemed like a class young man and I wish him the very best in his future!oliver, zane, and unofficially Dardanes.
Honestly, I put that on tOSU, not the NCAA. tOSU should be taking care of a 4xer. I guess now we know how Tom handles things.I rode an escalator to the upper deck with him and his wife before finals in Pittsburgh. I still can't believe the NCAA doesn't do something to take better care of a 4xer.
Vodka! Get to work! You know what you have to do.He probably had great seats, sold those, took the nose bleeds from a scalper at the arena.....and laughed the rest of the trip with it paid for.
That is some resume! Does anyone else American come close to checking off the equivalent list (A) to (G)? Cael is missing at least (F) and (G).That's World Champion Logan Stieber retires from wrestling. Wow....
> Tom Ryan:
“@_LogieBear_ Retires as one of the best of All-Time. (A) 4x State Champ, (B) 4x Big 10 Champ, (C) 4x NCAA Champ, (D) World Champ! (E) Led HS team to state title,

Ha ha. I had forgotten. Classic Tom Ryan!I don't want to pick nits here, but saying Logie Bear **led** USA to a World Team Title is a little strong.
He went 1-2 and was only 2 wrestlers to not medal that year.
One superlative aside, from a man known to exaggerate, I'm choosing to not nitpick. Instead, I'd hope we could recognize his outstanding accomplishments.I don't want to pick nits here, but saying Logie Bear **led** USA to a World Team Title is a little strong.

Agree completely, and he's classy to boot. He'll do well as a coach.Yeah, that was probably unnecessary.
Logan is one of the greatest US wrestlers that I got to watch. He's certainly earned his many accolades.
It's actually officially Dardanes. Chris Dardanes upset him at 133 his freshman year. Nick Dardanes had the famous score issue a few years later at 141.oliver, zane, and unofficially Dardanes.
