JF has been intentionally mum on Bowen's future with the team beyond bowl game. i would assume if he were just gone then JF would have indicated this as there is no real need to keep that secret.

i hope he can turn things around as he is out best LB in terms of combination tackling and speed. he is not in bowl practices, but has there been any word if he has registered for spring semester?

Agreed...but as someone once said, it appears Mr. Bowen's future with Penn State is in the past.

I disagree. The time to address these types of situations is during the off season, not during preparations for the Bowl game.

If Bowen were done at Penn State, he might tweet about it. Assuming he hasn't, then perhaps Franklin is waiting until after the bowl game to make a decision.

Heard skipping class due to weed, but don't quote me.

i am certain we will all know by January 15th. I also feel that if Manny were totally gone from the football program we would know by now. My guess is that he is in a step by step program to earn his way back and if he deviates from the program....he get's the permanent boot. Pure speculation on my part, but the game by game approach Franklin has made announcing Mr Bowen's status leads me to this conclusion.

Excellent post Rip

The most difficult decisions for a coach involve situations where an individual's actions/behaviors jeopardize the well being of the team as a whole.
This cannot be tolerated. Coach Franklin will use all the resources available to help a young man as much as possible. At what point does it become apparent that the individual is not willing to commit to change?
It's just my opinion, but if they are dealing with the same issue that led to suspension for the Rose Bowl, I don't have much optimism moving forward.
