I have seen nothing this entire year that made me believe PSU would beat OSU in the Shoe. Could it happen? Is it/was it possible, yes. But anyone who thought PSU at any point looked like a superior team to OSU was looking with blue tinted glasses. Its a long season, players get hurt etc. But straight up, I don't see how anyone could have been or should be confident of beating OSU this year.
I didn't see it coming in 2016 either, so who knows.

OK, whatever. What those stats don't account for is SP's cool under fire. He's really come on the 2nd half of the season and - no doubt - will be at least a 2nd round......quite possibly even a 1st round pick in the NFL. The NFL game is suited more for Patterson's game over Fields and it's not even close !

It does appear that if we win out , we are in the CFP. However, odds are now 13% chance of Conf Title, and 12% chance of CFP. It was 52% range before Saturday.

Considering we still need to play Ohio State, those odds seem optimistic

I predicted one loss not to OSU about 6 weeks ago. I had assumed MSU, but this is a meaningless loss as well. We win out and get our rematch against Minnesota in the B1G rematch.

It wont' be meaningless, if they lose to Ohio State. No Rose Bowl, assuming that is a concern.

Also, were they to lose a close one to Ohio State, the Minnesota loss eliminates any chance (albeit small) that a one loss Penn State team would still make the playoffs

I wish everyone with this attitude would go root for Clemson or Alabama. If you have the front runner mentally, just go all in and root for a perennial power. I’m not invested in this program because I expect national championships every few years. I’m invested because Penn State is my Alma mater. The players and staff do things the right. Hard work, academics, community service. If that’s not good enough for you to “get invested in” then get lost. Really GTFOOH.

Great video WCG. Quicksilver was and is one of my top 5 groups of all time. Their "Fresh Air" and especially "What About Me" are all time, legendary classics. Saw them at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 as a youngster. Give yourself an "A"
