I would think 7200 or $720,000 for that event would be incentive enough to try again next year. If each school just got enough to pay their way it seems like a good idea, but I would think on these kind of numbers they did better than that. If teams at any level can get paid to go to an event that could really enhance any participating sport or content provider. I said it before and Ill say it again Martin is on to something with this. $RAE
I think you have an extra zero in there somewhere.

We all know about Nijenhuis.

Rojas is still in HS. Headed to Iowa State. Dresser is getting a good one.

Facundo has handled Rojas every time they've met (including the DQ loss).

good win for rojas but nijenhuis has not been great this year. was expecting more improvement in year 2.

A few years ago we couldn't see any of the wrestling events(,MS,HS, College, interntional) and now we have access to them on Flo, Rofkin, BTN plus to watch events. Frankly, I am amazed at the quantity and quality of the events that are now available. We are almost spoiled by it. I, for one, am happy to pay to see these events. It is certainly easy to blow money on other things that don't give half the pleasure of watching great wrestling. I realize everyone has budgets and spends money differently, but Its a great time for wrestling fans to watch live wrestling. Its worth it to me. I'd rather give up something else.

Dunkej, I have a deal for you I will pay for the next 12 events for the low price of $1,000

I agree. My only point was I’m not maintaining a year round subscription when I have to pay extra for each event on the service.

I was happy to subscribe to support the NLWC. But if getting any content going forward means an extra PPV fee in addition to the subscription, then I’m dropping the annual subscription and picking when I’m signing back up for a specific event.

I've definitely liked what Rokin is doing, but given the PPV fees (which I'm sure the event holders make way more money off of) success, that is going to change the game.

It's back to what has always been true for wrestling fans - they only pay for video. Rokfin has to figure out how to keep people paying the monthly fee and getting value out of it with things like articles, blogs, etc. That's an UPHILL battle to be honest, but they can hopefully figure it out. If that $10 a month isn't getting me streaming matches without a fee tied on, I like many have to rethink my subscription.

I currently have flo,big10+,espn+,rokfin. I share some subscriptions to cut costs. Plus other than Flo I only buy 1 month. Then sign back up day of the next event I want. This is the first rokfin event I sat out. They need to be ppv or subscription. Not both. This is the first ever streaming service that requires both. They are blowing it.

That’s what I thought. Charge me $20 to watch the scuffle, and I’ll pay it. But don’t ask me to subscribe to have the privilege of buying PPV. That’s what UFC did with ESPN+ and I haven’t watched a UFC event since it started.

I recognize I’m but one person and they’ll do what they want if it makes them $$$.

Can someone please post a link to the brackets? I see it on track but when I click on brackets no weights come up. Any ideas?

I watch old movies from 60s and 70s . 10 years ago most could be streamed free if you looked around. Today all are 2.99 on prime. Amazon knows how to make money. Rokfin will figure it out.

Amazon is different though, 90+% of people get Prime because they want the free shipping. Plus do you even need Prime to rent a PPV? Just a different model than Rokfin, as they have a non-video subscription product that people will gladly pay for.

Just got a Amazon firestick for Christmas. Wondering if I can watch Flowrestling events on the firestick without a subscription? If the firestick is jailbroken can I watch Flo without a subscription? Thanks

Bulsak 6-2 over Amos.

Guess we can pump the brakes on the Amos hype train at least a little.
Braxton’s worst style has always been folk. It’s very easy for guys to get to his legs. In free he can do some chest rap stuff and expose em and be good to go. Plus the push out helps him a ton offensively. Guys aren’t going to go upper body with him.
Plus most of his folk style experience is in WV and he honestly had absolutely no competition in terms of facing anyone tough from top or bottom. I think it’ll be a big adjustment. I’ll wait until next year to judge him in college. A year of redshirt experience would of been huge for him.

Also should be a reminder to all that folk and free are two totally different style of wrestling.

Mostly agree though he did compete multiple years at both Ironman and Powerade, beat Trephan, Pettigrew, and Crosby (at least) -- none are Bulsak but not stiffs on the mat either.

Also while he's making 197, I think that's the first time he's been that low since freshman year of high school. Does seem to have energy late, but he still likely had to drop some strength and muscle to get down there.

Nice win for Byrd over Phillippi - was in control until the very end but still got it done.

Fun match and a lot of good scrambles, Hall out of folkstyle too long and kind of forgot about the danger rule. That was the difference...

Nijenhuis better hope he isn’t Carter’s 1st round opponent at B1Gs. Not looking too smooth out there. Losing to a high school kid that Facundo regularly beat.
