McQueary vs Penn State court document released yesterday

Interesting; are they suggesting McQueary has done some work for some other programs or football related businesses? IIRC Brett Senior is an agent.

hmmm Matt Rhule. There's a name I didn't see coming.
Do you think Mike M tried to get a job at Temple?
Anyone recognize the other names?
Interesting.
FWIW Andy Tally is the HFC at 'Nova, he's been there a long time I believe.

Anyone recognize the other names?

Andy Talley - the head football coach at Villanova
Brett Senior, Esquire - he's an agent
Earnest Wilson - I suspect that's the current football coach at Elizabeth City State, and former head coach of Savannah State. As it's a common name, I'm not certain that I have the correct individual

I think MM previously claimed to pursue a job at Savannah St

How far back does "any and all" go? These guys were HS teammates and there could be plenty of unrelated communications going way back.
Just because of some of the possible documents they are requesting I wonder if MM did some work for these coaches during the season or off season - cutting up film, or something like that. If he did, that could go to his damages and what kind of income he is able to earn.

Matty Rhule attempted to hire Mike but was told by the Temple administration no way.

Mike has testified that he walked in on an adult man raping a child and his reaction was to leave the scene and go home.

Who on earth would hire a guy like that?

Exactly. After the dust settled and I had time to digest most of the Sandusky story, I came away with the following thoughts on McQuery... based on his story, he is either a liar or a coward...

1. IF McQuery did not see what he claimed he saw, and he caused so much damage to PSU and people like Paterno, then his lies caused some terrible damage.

2. IF McQuery did see what he claimed he saw, then he basically walked away from a little boy getting sexually assaulted, and he is the world's biggest coward.

So, take your choice. Are you a liar or are you a coward. Either way I am not hiring you.

Andy Talley was named HC in 1984, and brought the program back in 1985 (after administration killed the D-1A program in 1981). He retires at the end of this season...amazing guy! Villanova program is in a great place with him moving on. Mark Ferrante (long time asst) is likely taking his place.

Add a third choice to your list. If McQeary saw what he claimed he saw, it didn't trouble him for ten years. That makes him a person without conscience or morals.

All of that aside, PSU should have processed his termination in the same manner that it did for all of the other coaches. If it didn't, it's on them. Having said that, it wouldn't bother me on iota if McQeary doesn't collect a cent. Indeed, it would be a travesty if he collected anything.

I agree with this in principle except, if McQ's lawsuit brings sunlight on the scoundrels, then I hope his suit continues regardless of the outcome.

Under whistle blower statutes they may not have even been able to terminate him. Even if they were allowed to let him go, PSU may still be in real trouble; they suspended him because of "safety" but made no attempts to increase safety or move him up to the booth as they had in previous instances, they withheld his bowl bonuses even though the only reason given was their suspension, etc. The bar for retaliation is pretty low in whistle blower cases, and even without the whistle blower statutes PSU has real problems.

Good. My comments about McQueary really had nothing to do with the legal situation. This is one of those situations where you wish both sides come out as losers.
