Penn State redshirt junior quarterback Trace McSorley has been named a candidate for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, according to a press release Wednesday.
"McSorley is among the national leaders with 1,597 passing yards (19thin FBS), 13 passing touchdowns (16th) and 295.8 yards of total offense per game (25th). He is averaging 266.2 yards per game. He also has an efficiency of 154.1, which is 23rdin FBS. McSorley is 19thin FBS with a 67.0 percent completion percentage (130-194)," said the release. "McSorley has thrown a touchdown pass in 21-straight games, which is the third-longest active streak in FBS. He has also found success on the ground with 178 rushing yards and four rushing scores. McSorley is ninth in FBS in points responsible for with 102 in six games."
