Harlon Barnett was a damn good football player at MSU and did okay in the NFL. He’s a career coach with a decent reputation. Hate to say it, but in the short run Sparty may come out better in this fiasco.
If they can fire him without paying that contract they're big winners.
That’s funny stuff, I love it. But the transfer portal won’t be truly equitable until players are allowed 30 days to transfer in from other schools because they like the new coach.
We need size and more depth at DT. It would be nice to land one, just sayin’.
This could take a while. The Title IX ruling (highly likely to favor the alleged victim because of how Title IX operates) would probably be appealable to federal court. This would normally be for cause and he would not get the rest of his contract paid out, but I'm guessing they'll do some type of settlement. It depends on how badly his benefactors want out of the contract, I'd imagine. I can't believe he would be so dumb. There are probably hundreds or thousands of women he could have picked from, but he picks a sexual assault victim advocate to get involved with?

They don't want to actually fire Tuck the "ass man" until the public witch hunt is over. If they suspend him now and fire him then.......probably better chance of no buyout.
Also, I think someone mentioned that if they fire him, the portal opens. Suspension can keep players who might want to go elsewhere.
From what I read......clause in his contract says public embarrassment to MSU is cause for termination. Could be just me .....but I think we reached a climax on that detail. At any rate.....once the public stoning is over it may be an easier voiding of the contract.
Don’t feel bad for him. Between his bonus, two years of that crazy contract, and a substantial settlement coming…..he can afford to spend the rest of his life in Margaritavile🍹
IDK, after his Legal fees for phone fun, and the divorce settlement he’ll probably be reduced to making margaritas for the early evening crowd somewhere in Dearborn,Mi.
So he was hired, fired, suspended, rehired, and now suspended again? Am I current?
Let's be real here, fired = suspended. Fitzpatrick a good example - how many days was it, after it was announced that he was suspended, that he was officially fired with cause??? There's no coming back from " suspended pendind.... blah, blah, blah.".

Yeah. The Atlantic is complaining about the guy who broke the story he was fired. He wasn’t, he was out on leave until the investigation is completed. Now it is being reported that is a fate a complete. MSU by policy has to complete their HR investigation and decide their legal position. He comped to having phone sex with her.
It’s a done deal. He’ll never be on the MSU sideline again.
And hiring Dantonio as associate head coach. But wasn’t there some type scandal brewing in back ground that led to Dantonio “retirement”

The story is that he wasn’t officially fired. However, it is just a matter of them getting through the process.
Narduzzzzzi to MSU? He is actually mentioned in most early possible coaching candidate lists. He’s always said how easy it is to win in the Big Ten, it would be interesting to see him at MSU and how long he would last.
