Sounds like he was forced to win it twice if he was called for stalling during rideouts awarding a point to Saldate to tie it up after Haines had escaped when he was on bottom????? F'ing absurd that a ref would call stalling on the top man during "rideouts".
This ref is a dick. How could he call that stall on Haines while these Spartans have been stalling 90% of the time in each match?

Boy I don’t ever remember Lionvision doing commercials while bouts are being wrestled. Twice now.
These guys commentating on wrestling is like me commentating on cricket except I wouldn't talk the entire time pretending I knew what was going on.
Re: Lionvision commercials during matches: They had to have those because there was no halftime for some reason when they usually run them.

How does Mesenbrink not get two or three near fall there for holding fish boy on his back? I do think that is why Cale threw the brick.
More unlikely TD tonight: Haines or Barraclough? Both looked dead to rights but somehow battled out of big disadvantages to get them.
So they called stalling on Saldate when he was on top in first set of SV periods. Doesn’t that mean they stop the riding time count while he’s holding the ankle? And if that’s the case…since Haines held him down the entire time on the second SV period, wouldn’t Haines have won with more RT? Since there was no protest from the Penn State bench, I’m assuming I’m missing something and the refs did not. Just wasn’t sure.

The really bad part is that he held just the ankle for about 10 secs. It was likely watching a ref’s count in a Rocky movie.
It hasn’t been good officiating.
Byers said, "Saldate holds the leg.....and he holds the leg....and he just holds the leg...." before the ref started the count, so it was obvious that he started the count REALLY late.
Sometimes I have to remind myself that some PSU guys have a dip in the 2nd half of the season. I'm sure Haines will be up to speed when it matters.
