Michigan with 11 players drafted

And by the way, I just googled the two and Arrington has a net worth of $45 million and Howard has a net worth of $14 million. So who's the very successful one? Arrington has been extremely successful in business, so he must not be too dumb. I guess it takes more brains to ride Herbstreit's coat tails and be wrong 80% of the time.
Your googling net Worth now. Wow that's desperate.I didn't bring Desmond into this someone else did (not sure what it has to do with PSUs 39 point loss last year). He's extremely successful

Sounds like that Success With Honor thing again.

And you know how dumb Arrington is how? Because he's black? And how do you know how much research Howard does? And if he does so much, how can he be wrong so often? If he does more research than me then he doesn't do it very well because I'm right more often than he is. And by the way, there are a lot ot "successful" broadcasters who aren't very smart, so just because Howard is "successful" doesn't make him smart. And please explain what you're using to judge success....money, sure he's successful. Being right or respected within one's profession...not so much. I'm sure if someone was looking for a top notch broadcaster (or journalist) to do a huge game or break a big story, Howard would be at or near the bottom of the list.
I'm sure you think you're smarter than Desmond. Desmond is respected by his peers in the broadcasting industry let stop pretending he's not, like I said still not sure why someone brought him up.

And Howard is respected because you say so? I listen to sports talk radio all the time and they talk about other broadcasters and I've never heard anyone say Howard is respected. I hear it about Herbstreit all the time, but I've never heard it about Howard. And I never said I'm smarter (although I probably am) I said I'm right more than he is.

Wait so he's not respected because you say so? And no your not right more than he is. Regardless why was he even brought into the discussion?

I said he's not respected because I've never heard anyone say he is. And I'm certainly right more in terms of predicting games. Hell, I could throw darts at a dart board and be right more often than he is.

pop quiz hot shot

who lost 3 of their last 4 games last season, and finished ranked below OSU, Penn State, and Wisconsin?

Give you a hint

Rhymes with "Sh*tzagain"

Michigan is a correct answer. But it could also be a handful of other teams. For instance: Indiana or Illinois fit that bill.

To make things more specific let's refine the question a bit: "who lost 3 of their last 4 games last season, has not won a B1G Championship in 12 years, and finished 2016 ranked below all of OSU, Penn State and Wisconsin?"

Oh wait: Illinois, Indiana and Michigan STILL all are answers to that question!

that Harbaugh guy must be some recruiter.....oh, wait

He walked into a different situation than James Franklin did; let's see how it goes in 2017

Huh...11 NFL-caliber players for Michigan and all that got em was 3rd in the division.

Wait then what rings does Franklin have? If an NFC conference championship doesnt get you a ring why would a big ten conference championship? I think there very comparble and probably more difficult in the NFL with the parody in the league

I can tell you're a thinker.

You do know those glasses he wears have clear lenses - his wife told him to wear them to try to make him look smarter - epic fail.

PSU's 2017 schedule contains a murderer's row right in the center. @NW, UM, @tOSU, @MSU.
You're obviously upset as you didn't read the entire post I said "down the stretch" as in later in the year. Also remind me did you play both OSU and Iowa on the road? My question would be do you honestly think PSU would've won had the teams met later in the year? Still haven't talked smack just responding to absurdity. Why so mad?

Good post and agree on the Harbaugh thing he kind of brings it on himself, though I'll say he's never had a bad thing to say about PSU so I guess I don't get the anger directed by some here (not you)

Well, it's not entirely accurate to say he's never had a bad thing to say about PSU but he hasn't been neutral or positive either, and he's the latest in a long line of UM frustrations. I don't remember him being outright offensive, but hover the course of their respective lifetimes, there are 3, now possibly 4, preeminent B1G teams. Between them, there are several zero-sum realities. We're ready for the team getting the better of the situations to be our team. Let's take a short walk...

At Least in recruiting and overall program strength, the rest don't really compete for recruits with PSU, tOSU and UM. UM and tOSU have a stronger presence in the league and care more about each other than the rest. And in the rivals/scout recruiting era, they've outperformed all the rest-although CJF is really coming on strong and challenging that status quo.

CUM was disruptive, as was Harbaugh. (Personally, I'm glad both are coaching in the B1G and I wanted Harbaugh to UM years before he arrived there.) CJF looks like he's bringing PSU back to where we want to be. Anything short of on par with UM and tOSU in terms of on-field success will be a disappointment. It's a loft goal.

Why so mad? It's the antics and the continued success at plucking the occasional PSU commit--the sleepover with flamboyant kicker commit was a real "kicker." That was yet another insult. And he certainly wasn't encouraging the kid with all the greatness of PSU. And that's with a landscape of UM-related frustrations, such as with chad henne and the loads of others over the years. Then there's Carr's seeming decade of owning us, especially Henne to Manningham with :02 (I know you know what I'm talking about) and on and on. And earlier in that very game, the crowned jewel of our recruiting (just about EVER) was taken out with a horrible injury that may have impacted his success career-wide.

CJF is on track to becoming one of the great ones, but started out with some arms and feet tied behind his back. In the meantime, Harbaugh and CUM cleaned up on the recruiting front and at least some of that was directly at PSU's expense (including in some cases recruiting former Penn Staters and coaches). Harbaugh is having sleepovers and camping and getting all sorts of hype, we've have the shame and embarrassment of Sandusky and all the pain and BS that came with it.

2016 was a break back-in year. 49-10 kept us out of it. It was just another bad break. The early game with new OC, the depth on D, injuries, ejection, points after points.
CJF has outperformed Harbaugh so far, yet Harbaugh has the wins and recruits. CJF is primed to do great things in 2017 and we've got a chip on our collective shoulder.

If you ask me, the hate is the biggest compliment in sports. Take it and stop asking why. You know why and we know it.

Amazing number of posts on this board about UM. Can't find one about PSU on the UM board.
