Midlands/Soldier Salute

Well, apparently Ironside also claimed that Rathjen had the first push on Anthony Ferrari at the end of the 149 bout. He (Ironside) either had a very poor seat or he's an apologist for the Ferrari clan (probably born out of desperation).
I think Ironside forgot that the matches were being broadcast for others to see.

That said, I’m still reading some wild takes from Iowa fans that Glazier started it. Def not what I saw.

Someone on GIA has twice posted about how it was all a misunderstanding caused by AJ getting his finger stuck in Glazier’s headgear, which (according to the poster) AJ tried to explain to Glazier to no avail.

Hopefully, this display of sportsmanship at the Soldier Salute, coupled with their past transgressions will help any recruits and their parents who were watching in making up their minds as to where they want to commit. Many recruits say culture is an important aspect of where they commit. I am pretty sure I wouldn't be thrilled to send my son half way across the country to spend every day in that environment. The gift that keeps on giving.

Gaslighting. Don't believe your own eyes.
You're not seeing what you saw- only what I'm telling you that you saw... UGH...

I think this is the best explanation of what happened. and would also explain why aj later on was stretching out his fingers...

From Frank Drebin and Police Squad. Cast of offending finger.

The entire board. The sad thing is that I was going to post a poll with the winner of the correct date of the first screw up getting a prize, and now these two punks screw the entire thing up by blowing it on freaking day one 😂😆
Technically day minus one since he only had his official visit, officially, and competed unattached.

Glazier is about as stand-up as they come. His family has been very kind to me, and they have nothing to gain from doing so. That crew loves wrestling.

Glazier rules. I hope he gets to finish his season. He's doing his best wrestling right now and does things right.
With the way Glazier has been wrestling, you would think it would be an easy decision not to let AJ anywhere near the program at this point.

From my old man’s hometown too—my favorite hawk!

I think Desanto just needed to grow up and get control of his emotions. Maybe meds helped, but there always seemed to be a desire to get better.

With AJ, this is who he wants to be; I don't think he feels any regret whatsoever. There will be a lot of collateral damage if Brands tries to rehabilitate him.

Ohhhhhh, he got his middle finger caught in the headgear. That makes perfect sense. Then, he showed the crowd that he got BOTH middle fingers caught in the headgear.

I think people need to stop comparing DeSanto and AJ. Different people with different circumstances.

I just can't get enough of that photo.

Especially since it seems directed mostly at fans pulling for Glazier (i.e., Iowa fans).
Great Sunday morning. Showed this pic to my wife (a long time fan) and she asked how things might go in the locker room. Then she added … “ At Iowa they probably don’t have lockers, they have fu**ing cages.”

I really don't know why people are so upset with AJ. He was just giving his version of the "Soldier Salute". 😂

Seriously though, will this jeopardize the 3rd brother's commitment if they toss the older two?
That is the bind Tom Brands has put himself in, isn’t it?

If you don’t take the Ferrari who spreads his seed on sleeping co-eds and the Ferrari who spreads his cheeks for the proctology enthusiasts on Only Fans, you can’t have the one who has not yet shown himself to be a damaged character

Wasnt Henkel a strong Iowa lean at one point??

Pretty accurate except maybe for the “slightly” comment
Wow what a bunch of cowardly reporters. Not one of them had the balls to ask if the incident at 197 changed their opinion of AJ or his potential future with the U of I. Lol
I understand Tom wouldn't answer but don't pretend like no one noticed that his big plan just exploded in their faces.

Does anyone know if the Clan gets any NIL money?
Serious question, I want to know who is sponsoring this shitshow.

Something not being talked about was AJ’s reactions to the two stall calls. Especially the second one. I wasn’t sure he was going to finish the match. He was lucky the ref didn’t DQ him then for refusing to come back to center to restart.

Imagine him wrestling Brooks.

I don’t think he makes it out of the 2nd, particularly if Casey starts getting on the ref early and often.
