Gopher RB Trey Potts entered the portal a week ago. Pennsylvania kid. Would make for a decent potential 3rd string RB.

What is his actual weight? 300 or 310? Seeing both.

would Potts go somewhere to be the 3rd back?

I'm not sure about the circumstances of his departure to answer that without speculation. He was the #3 RB in '21 when Ibrahim got hurt week 1 and was securely the (distant) #2 behind a healthy Ibrahim. You would think this is his year to be the feature back, but he's in the portal.

all of the RB discussion here is likely distracting from the more relevant starting DT available in the portal. Wonder if we have interest?

Don't think anybody knows yet unless it's paywall.

I just thought the RB being in the portal was slightly more interesting: 1) presumed starter leaves before spring camp 2) PA kid the staff might know 3) scholarship RB depth is a potential weakness IMO

Carter is a Georgia kid. Low rated out of HS. Zero memory of how he played in the game vs us last year. He's just a guy who is perhaps not as big as we may desire and no idea about connections.

Beamon needs moved to DE. A 250 pound DT is going to be annihilated at the line of scrimmage against Illinois and Ohio State and Michigan and many others. Beamon was obliterated by Michigan last year and he weighed 10 pounds HEAVIER then.
