Moorehead to Temple?

I think just that reason... very low expectations. You go places like Oregon/Texas you are expected to produce 11 win season immediately. Baylor going through all this turmoil has really calmed expectations there. Just my thoughts nothing to base it on.
Right on....
I believe Matt will be given a nice salary and plenty of time, given the circumstances, to develop a sound team.

Everyone here is on the JoMo bandwagon because we had a good season and offensive production when it wasn't expected. But I think most of this success came from a certain group of players -- our offensive skill position guys.

JoMo wears defenses down by throwing deep a lot -- a luxury he can afford by having a tall, athletic, and very deep receiving group. He runs a read-option style offense with a mobile QB who doesn't throw interceptions and has a history of winning championships. There are probably lots of offensive coordinators out there who could do the same with the same players. The key has been guys like O'Brien and Franklin who brought them to PSU. That said, Franklin does need good game-day coaches to balance out his strengths in recruiting and being a very good face for the program overall.

They are going to be a burning pile for a bit. If Matt can guide them through it, he'll be regarded as a savior. A lot of people would shy away from the challenge.

For what it is worth, the latest rumor I heard from a WPIAL coach is that Terry Smith is pushing for the Temple job.

Who replaces him? Rahne?

Silly. Moorehead was a successful HC of Fordham. He now has 1 year as successful OC of PSU.
His next move is a HC in a P5 conference, whether it be someplace at the level of Purdue this year something higher profile after a larger body of work (1-3 years depending on many factors). Taking a MAC job is where he might go from Fordham, not OC of PSU.

Hence, why IMO he needs to go the Kirby Smart route. It would be idiotic to go to freaking Temple when you could wait, build PSU to a legit top 5 team each year and the get a big $$ job at a P5 school.

It hasn't been announced this was on Kareem Gauldens twitter a little over an hour ago.

I'd be shocked if Charlie doesn't wind up at USF. He'll kill it there.

Didn't Terry Smith coach on the Temple staff for a year or two after Gateway unfairly gave him the boot? Some of his former players are probably still there, and I wouldn't be surprised if they're pushing for him. i think he'd be a very good head coach at that level.

My concern is next year Narducci goes to MSU and Moorhead goes to Pitt as HC. I hope that doesn't happen. I would be happy if Narducci stays at Pitt.

I think this is kinda like reverse psychology... lets talk about how Moorhead isn't really that good of a coach so other schools don't try to hire him. I'm in! Lets throw him under the buss for not being prepared for the first half of the games. Anyone else want to add to the list of criticisms for Moorhead?
