More SEC fodder

SEC better be careful.... would not be surprised at all if Clemson, who is ranked 5 spots behind Alabama, 2 spots behind 'Ole Miss and 1 spot behind USCe in the Final CFP Rankings, beats Texas.

The most competitive playoff game was the 2nd best SEC team vs the lowest ranked (#16!!!) team that got in only by winning a weak conference.

The least competitive playoff game was the 3rd best SEC team (who beat Alabama H2H) vs the 3rd best B1G team.

But SEC deserved more entrants. Got it.

Ohio State is considered a contender
Clemson is better than SMU (they beat them) and Indiana which isn't saying much
The SEC will prove they're legit on NYD or they'll prove they're overrated. The reality is--even if UGa doesn't win they have an excuse without Beck. Texas is the key
The contenders are still the same 5 teams as they were before yesterday

Texas has a lay up vs Arizona State. They will not beat the Oregon /OSU winner. Will that stop all this SEC drivel?

They "could" beat the winner of that game but, no, if they lose to #1 or the team most people think is the most talented (Ohio State) I don't see that as hurting them
I really don't understand why anyone thinks SMU or Indiana should have been in over South Carolina and Alabama. I will say USCe and Bama have no one to blame but themselves for leaving it in the hands of the committee but there's no question if the committee looked at things like March Madness or even the Women's Volleyball selection committee that Bama and USCe would be in. See Louisville being a 1 seed in WVB with 5 losses over teams like Creighton and ASU--or even Stanford. Losses matter but they don't trump everything

So we’re down to the final 8 teams and the SEC’s best hope is Texas, a transfer in from the B12? It doesn’t speak highly for the mighty SEC.
Georgia's right there with Texas
But, yeah, when you only get 3 teams in and one has to go to Ohio State that's inevitable right?
Georgia beat Texas twice for the record.

Whining will now reach new heights about excluding Alabama and Ole Miss
Paying recruits is now legal so expect a leveling off of talent across the board. The Alabama's and the Ole Miss of the world no longer have the upper hand via dialing for dollars because it's now all legal for everyone.
