More Trouble Brewing in Ann Arbor?

Look, I cleverly mix fact with fiction, to create somewhat believable scenarios. Maybe he did, maybe he didn’t. That’s called either Yellow Journalism or Red Meat. If you’re looking for truth and logical order go read an Algebra textbook.
I was actually going to tell you I enjoy your sarcasm on this board. It’s refreshing. I should have guessed. Lol

If something was happening today do we think it would have been leaked by now?
I feel like the longer it goes the better it is for Michigan

Hey d$pshit, remind us about Bo/Anderson scandal and the 1/2 billion settlement? I recall Bo's son stated that Anderson assaulted him at 10 and Bo did nothing. I also read something about Anderson's grandchild committing suicide in 20s and mother blamed it on molestation as a child. How many 17-18 yo athletes were probed and assaulted. Was it 1K? Go f-yourself about protecting pedos. Did you get the red paint off Bo statue? Remember the victims. You just swept it under rug. Add that to worst pay scandal in b-ball history and now worst sign-stealing campaign. UM is bottom barrell.
Like I said before. Its all in the reflexes.

Big difference. Michigan didn’t break a law. They violated rules of the conference.

The conference bylaws address how things work when rules are broken.
I recommend reading the response by the University of Michigan. They inform Pettiti of what the rules of the Big10 say and that Pettiti would be violating the rules of the conference if he suspended Harbaugh. I will say again. If someone else believes otherwise, break the document down on this thread. We have participating lawyers.

No, actually the response is an attempt to conflate this obvious breach of the rules with other events which are not covered by the rules.

Typical delusional and dishonest Michigan fan, Rich Eisen at :53, he states that he hopes that Stalion did it all on his own. Simply ridiculous. When opposing team's signals are being decoded in crucial situations, it is a virtual certainty that the higher up coaches asked: Are you sure of this? And why are you sure?

To be fair, critical thinking is clearly not a strength of a Jim Harbaugh led coaching staff, or their fans gracing us with their presence.

Poor dailybuck...

Day's plot to remove Harbaugh is collapsing like the Buckeyes' 4th quarter run defense.

How did Ryan Day force Stalions to buy tickets to all those games? Are you implying Day blackmailed him? Or that he can control people’s minds? Is he a Jedi?

Buying tickets isn't against the rules.

The only infraction so far is Stalions on the sideline of the CMU game. See Baylor penalty. And Wake Forest lack of penalty by the NCAA.

That’s why he was suspended, refused to cooperate, and “resigned”.

They’ve confirmed what the people sitting in those seats were doing, you realize this?

If you want to argue there won’t be a penalty fine. But you’re insulting your own intelligence if you think he was just buying tickets cuz he’s the ****ing ticket fairy.

The people in the seats were doing less than what the coaches who handed over their reconnaissance to Purdue were doing. You cannot as a coach scout "in person". But you can buy tickets to obtain video.

Purdue is irrelevant. Go cry on the Purdue board about it.

As for the rest of the dribble you produced, you can’t subcontract advanced scouting duties, which is what he did.

Yes, he advance scouted one game. Michigan State vs CMU. Punishable by a half game suspension for the coach directly involved. Recording video is not considered "scouting" by the NCAA.

The use of electronic equipment to record opponents is forbidden but you knew that.

Go start a gofund me to get Stalions reimbursed.

Electronic equipment to record is only banned for live, in game, sideline decoding. I.E., what Stalions may have been doing for his CMU buddy.

Read the rules.

The house of cards will collapse when the feds investigate tax fraud and chase it back to UM coaches approving expenses. Here's my theory. The guys/gals that Stalions got to attend games were given tickets at a minimum and probably lots more like all expenses for travel, lodging, meals, etc. In addition, filming doesn't make for an enjoyable game so it's most likely they were paid for their time. I assume none of them claimed this income for tax purposes and that opens all the doors, such as Michigan not filing 1099's for contractors that worked for them etc.

This investigation would take a long time, but with the media coverage it's just the type of thing the FBI/IRS love.

One guy who attended games at Rutgers and Penn State already confirmed he was paid…

yes, but i have a sneaky feeling that the FBI isn't going to be THAT interested in the tax avoidance associated with a couple hundred bucks of AGI. no one is going to jail here.

It is certainly true that you can spin this into perfectly viable criminal theories (eg, wire fraud), but if i'm um, what i might be more concerned about would be civil lawyers coming out of the woodwork trying to make a buck on some weird theory like civil Rico. They likely have multiple plausible predicate acts, and there's easily enough people in their to allege a rico enterprise. causation's always a bitch. So who's your plaintiff? Well, maybe a podunk gambling site?

I don't think this is a criminal matter.

Whatever Stalions was doing with the LLCs might have been, but I don't think there's a connection to the sign stealing.

Yes I agree, if no action is taken tomorrow then this will be a long process. But you have to remember that this is a new commissioner who has already acted on this. If he pussies out on this he's done. Its really too late for them to back down at this point. If they back down its proof that Michigans lawyers scared them off and their credibility will be shot.
This^^^.

The Big Ten has allowed this to drag on too far. However, after Michigan publicly challenged the conference’s authority and said they’ll sue, they effectively sealed their own fate.

Some sanctions need to be handed out now. How significant they are is the only question left.

If it’s a slap on the wrist, they show in the future that threatening the commissioner and conference is the way to go after being caught breaking rules. If Petitti and the conference back down in the face of threats they lose all credibility.

This is now as much of a referendum on Petitti as it is Michigan.
