Hard to score if you don't shoot! A guy I used to play rugby with would hit on every girl in sight... ugly, fat, pretty, old, Neanderthal, you name it, he was after it. He would get shot down 9/10 times but the law of averages showed he got what he was looking for on a steady clip overall. It's all about the confidence and endlessly putting in the effort.

I prefer going 1 for 1. I probably hit .500.

Getting shot down 90% of the time by ugly chicks can't help your confidence.

Even if I do get shot down I fell like I am still in the game 90% of the time. I was laying groundwork.

90% would have been a good percentage for me. For me, the good thing about getting shot down 90% of the time is that I couldn't remember getting shot down on about 90% of them. I don't know if it was the self-induced haze or the wrestler mentality to quickly forget my losing matches, on to the next.

Best lines getting shot down: 1. Woman told me she wouldn't spit on me if I was on fire, she ended up dancing with me. 2. Another Woman mockingly said, I suppose you're going to tell me I have great eyes. I told her it was like looking in a mirror, she didn't dance with me. Our kids would have had great eyes.

Had a room mate in the 60’s who would go to the Friday night dances at the HUB with a sleeping bag under his arm. After 20-40 shots, he would always get a takedown.

I'm now in my 70s. Here is some very valuable advice that I did not learn until I was in my 40s. If you want to attract women, and especially the ones who are exceptionally good looking, learn to develop an approach where you convey in a friendly and non-obnoxious way that they are not all that important to you. You can take that to the bank.

The cold shoulder attack! I did that when I was younger and it certainly worked as girls often like the quiet confident guy. But I also learned that some Cougars just want to eat! Pick your poison lol
