I believe the Hawks will have the title sewn up headed into the Finals. Just a feeling

From your lips to Gable's ears bro. I also think a certain Iowa fan from Arizona will be there live rooting for Matt Brown in the finals. Don't care about the strange looks. I have been following this kid for years and if Mike Evans doesn't get by him, he gets my cheers.

It's hard to not root for Matt. Such a good kid and would love to see him get one more crack at it.

I also think Iowa wins it. They have the perfect draw to start off......not that they didn't deserve it.

Not too late to get your Iowa Hawkeye knit beanie for $19.99.
You want to look cool while jumping up and down clapping your hands and giggling.

I'm Far from an Iowa fan, just saying for purpose of discussion, who Ya got winning?

IMHO, there are so many variables it's really hard to say but I'm going with Mizzou.

Psu has a real shot

to make it difficult for Iowa IF Conaway knocks off Gilman

Cox with bonus points. LOL.
Without actually bothering to check the results I bet Cox has more bonus wins this year than every single Iowa starter. LOL.

I did a bracket for all the weights, and I didn't have a ton of PSU-Iowa meetings, I only remember Conaway-Gilman, but I had PSU helping Iowa A LOT along the way. Taking out a Mizzou guy here, and tOSU guy there.

Not really. Most of Iowa's wrestlers are in the 40-50% range. It's highly unlikely that Cox scoring bonus points at a slightly higher percentage than Iowa guys is going to win Missouri a title.

The majority of almost every wrestler's bonus point wins come against questionable competition. Contrary to popular belief this isn't just Iowa. Cox didn't bonus 45% of his competition, which was probably the tougher part of his schedule. Outside of a few outstanding wrestlers not many guys are scoring bonus points past the first/second round at nationals.

Agree with 1stplacehawk. Its going to be all about advancement points. This year maybe 3 or 4 guys could bonus after the 2nd round. Guys like Taylor, Ruth and Streibler who can bonus the whole way to the finals are so rare.

I've got Iowa on the top of the podium, if only because I've made a lot of Hawkeye friends over the years. If not us, then why not the program that Gable built?

Generally true, but your Hawks have taken it to an extreme this year.

Your 10 starters have 120 bonus point wins. More than half of them (64) have come against wrestlers from sub-D1 schools.

Cox has 18 bonus point wins.Fifteen have come against D1 competition. Four have come against wrestlers who will be wrestling this weekend.

I'm not arguing that Cox's bonus point potential is going to push Missouri over the top this weekend. I'm just arguing that percentage of bonus point wins doesn't mean a whole lot when your competition in November and December was made up primarily of wrestlers from schools like Hannibal-LaGrange, Ouachita Baptist and North Iowa Area Community College.
