Next year will not be fun NFM

You are saying that we are nothing without Trace. I think the opposite may be true. Taking nothing away from Trace, but this year I feel that many offenseive players are along for the ride but waiting for Trace to win the game. I’m not saying that nobody else cares are is working hard, but it’s the Trace show and nobody else steps up. The previous two years, SB and Trace balanced each other out. Miles had a good year, but didn’t seem to escape Trace’s (and Barkley’s) shadow.

Some talent returns, but the coaching is high school level. Probably 6 or 7 win season.

I look for a PSU-Michigan battle for the BIG East. Scratch the sucknuts as they lose all their key players. They're history !

This is not a very well coached team right now. Some of it is youth, but not all of it. When you have freshmen who have played in 8 to 10 games this season, they’re aren’t really freshmen. Some of the experienced players this year also seem to have regressed, especially at WR and on the OL.
I don’t think we’re going to know what we really have until we get into October.

I swear to God, I cannot imagine what some folks here do when they face real adversity.

Take a hint from TM. This woe is me horseshit is useless. Sometimes you give all you can and you still fail. You are better for having tried.

And it sure as F@ck is not meaningless.

It will be PSU's most talented team since sometime in the 1990s. And look at the schedule. They start 6-0 easily, and 10-0 is very possible.

I wish I had your optimism. Unless they fix the offensive line any new QB will have very little time to make decisions.

The 2 replacement QBs either run on just about every play with limited throwing or have great throwing ability but limited mobility. Add in the normal growing pains when any new QB takes over and the offense will likely struggle as much as this year.

I know you’re a troll here and have not had one post that we haven’t ;) at.
Anyone who thinks ohowihate is dropping out of contention is naive or dumb. Maybe both if possible. They reload, not rebuild.
Day is going to keep the locomotive humming down the tracks.
They’ll be on top for a while.

The way CJF and staff recruit, every year is fun.
The key to reaching the next level will be if Franklin can bring in quality OL and DL. I still believe we need to control the line of scrimmage better to really move forward. We need more players, especially on the DL. Watching the Bamas, the Ohio States....they win because they control the line of scrimmage.

Yes the OL was not very good today but they played against maybe the best defensive player in college FB as well as 4 or 5 other defensive players who will get the chance to play on Sundays. They were 21st overall in D before the bowls, 17th vs the pass with 32 sacks too. It was by most accounts a OSU/UM/MSU type defense.

I imagine it involves a lot of sitting in a corner crying while wetting themselves. Bunch of pansy ass crybabies anymore, jeebus.

Better line play on both sides of the ball is a must! Why can’t they find those 300+ lbers to clog up the middle on defense? Everyone else seems to find them. Throw out the RPO!

No idea how next year will turn out. I’m not particularly excited with Stevens at QB...I’d rather see Clifford.

That said we should have a good OL for whomever to run behind. I think Sanders would be best served by returning.

The DL should also be upperclassmen laden and stout. Usually when our lines are good, we are good.

I think that those that dismiss tOSU next year are making a mistake. It should be another interesting battle between the Michigans, OSU and us.
No doubt, they have recruited well and Day showed he can coach some in the beginning of the year. UM will have to replace some key pieces on D and I'm not sold on their O, but again they have some talent there. B!G east will be wide open IMO with 4 teams having a shot to win it...which is the way it should be. Only one team will go to Indy...that is how it works.

We have talent and we have holes. Thin at LB. no athletic OT. WR problems. ?2losses best case
