From some despicable comments on the Hawkeye message board, there are people critical of Franco for defending Joe. I hope that didn't have anything to do with the NFL Network's decision, but who knows?

I doubt that played a part in it because Paterno has been mentioned quite a bit on NFL Network this week leading up to the game; Michael Robinson was actually discussing him and Franco pregame. I think they’re just greedy and like to run as many commercials as possible. I like NFLN, but their live game production has never been great.
this sounds crazy to even say but....this was the first game I can ever remember that did NOT have commercials during the two minute warning
