Nickal Back to Back to Back

If ya'll haven't already, there is a fantastic series on Netflix called Under Arrest that is essentially "Cops" but Canadian. It's gold.

Also, stop the Bieber slander. Bro has hits, turned heel, then continued to drop hits, keeping both fanbases. We deserve him. **** Nickelback, though.

Canada's greatest exports: hockey, Strange Brew, and Pamela Andetson.

John Candy +1, Jim Carrey -1, a wash there I guess
What? Jim Carrey is a one-of-a-kind genius. John Candy is just another funny guy. If a highlight video of Jim Carrey scenes wrestles a highlight video of John Candy scenes, it would be Jim Carrey by bow-and-arrow torture fall. The John Candy video would be carted out in a hearse. :) #scientificfact

See, different strokes for different folks. I don't find Carrey funny at all, but Candy was a comedy genius, IMHO.

Meanwhile, I love Nickelback. As to Beiber, he blew it with Selena Gomez, who I don't think is all that talented, but she is gorgeous.

Talent-wise, Candy is often under-appreciated because he did so much physical comedy, but he was brilliant. I acknowledge that Carrey is great at what he does; I'm just not a big fan of what he does, which is a lot of camera mugging. Candy brought a lot of humanity to his roles, and to me Carrey wasn't a human so much as an overly needy attention-sponge.

Candy was funny, but he was just another guy. I cannot think of a single teenager or other child today who would give even one big laugh at the below linked highlight reel of John Candy scenes.

How great can you be when your work is so far from timeless?

Candy was great but is no longer with us. Carrey was great and is also no longer with us but in a different kind of way.

Tom Tuttle from Tacoma!... Candy was great. Carey is great but wears on you after awhile - earlier movies were better than OK. Canadiens - how about Terrance and Phillip (SouthPark)??

This is Candy being brilliant, as he was throughout this film. He underplays an "annoying guy" scene that most others would've taken in the opposite direction. Somehow you're still rooting for him even when he takes his sock off.

Love them all, but don't most threaten to move back to the great white north every other Presidential election if....?

There’s a headscratcher

Allow me to clarify.

  • A few bricks short of a full load
  • A few cards short of a full deck
  • Gone bananas
  • Gone haywire
  • He's got a screw loose
  • In La la land
  • Not right in the head
  • Off his rocker
  • Off the wall

Alissa White-Gluz, former vocalist for The Agonist (before cashing-in with Arch Enemy), makes up for Bieber and Dion (for the metal heads among us, at least). She had some jaw-dropping talent while with The Agonist. P4P one of the best in the genre.
