No wonder our offense sucks

This sounds like a very good thing, but somehow I think YOU think it means something bad.
I want Franklin as far away as any offensive game plans as possible. And its pretty clear that Frankln tells him certain things to do, and Yurchich must swallow his pride and take it.

This program is not in a good place right now. People can spin it all they want, but it is fact.
and, all the coaches come highly rated and are all handpicked by franklin. Each coordinator has been successful wherever they have been ..speaking of Diaz as defensive coordinator not HC.
We have top rated recruits and recruiting classes......so where is the problem? Too much franklin, not enough franklin? I don't know, but the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results.
I watched a youtube blurb yesterday by a couple of sports bettors analyzing the penn state game. Both were saying Penn State should win this game...both also said they've seen this movie before with Penn State after losses and were not sure which penn state team would show up...both said they were not going to touch this game. I guess they must read this board because most of us have seen this movie before also. Remember Michigan State last year? Great against the rush, but couldn't stop a HS passing attack. Penn State wants to establish the rush at the expense of the pass, loses the game. Against minnesota today, they are really good against the rush...anyone think we'll pass to set up the run or are we going to beat our heads against the wall and work to establish the run??

Let's unpack this a bit.

"Each coordinator has been successful where they have been..." No they haven't. Starting with Yurcich. He went to the other OSU as a mostly unknown commodity inheriting a very good offense from Mike Gundy. He built on it a tad but they always caved to the 'better' Big XII defenses they played when it mattered. Put that into perspective. Big XII defenses. He left the other OSU for OSU. He downgraded his role to QB coach. Why? He left for Texas, the offense was not good under him because he can only do one thing. He brought the same approach to Penn State. Instead of changing it to match the talent, he installed what he knows. Diaz, actually the same story. Got demoted and fired at Texas for giving up the most blah blah blah in team history to BYU, blah, blah. At Miami, the results were mixed to say the least, then he got the head coach job. Come to Penn State, do exactly what he does on defense regardless of what the talent on hand suggests you should do. Can't or won't change it. Same result as offense. We have two inflexible system coaches and a staff that has proven it can't provide the talent needed to run specific systems on a year to year basis.

I don't want to talk about Michigan State. There is a reason we lose to them and it is the same reason we regularly lost to Iowa during the last decade of Joe's (RIP) tenure. Last year, they were just a better team. We are darn lucky we weren't blown out. We are also darn lucky Blake Corum didn't play when we faced Michigan given that we couldn't stop the off tackle or outside run because we played linebacker at end and they couldn't set the edge. This was part of it last weekend as well. The one thing you can expect when we come off of a bad loss is Franklin will throw his players under the bus in a press conference because he lacks accountability.

Your act is getting tired.

The team is 5-1. I have no idea how that is an unacceptable result (halfway through the season) to anyone.
5-1 is as good or better than most expected. Of course we didn't expect Auburn to be 3-4, for PSU to struggle to beat 1-5 Northwestern, or for PSU to give up more than 400 yds rushing to Michigan.

So let me throw out this coaches name "Terry Smith". A very successful high school coach but this was only due to the superior athletes he recruited to play at a public school, in Gateway. So does this make him a good coach??

I don't think it's that bad - the main issue is with the fans. A solid win tonight can maybe turn things around a bit, especially if Clifford plays well.
