Nor'easter

I don't understand why they don't get rid of her. She's absolutely terrible. I love how she always runs out of time at the end of her 7 day forecast and has to rush through the last three days. She's only been doing this what 25 years?

I have heard that her family owns the station. Hence the reason her husband Tom got a big pay out offer to retire early. Now if you said Crazy Joe knew where the bodies were I would believe it. I can't stand watching the weather when he is on.

The hype for this storm in the Harrisburg area is getting a bit much. It’s winter. It snows. Last I heard they were predicting 2-4 inches for here which is nothing but hearing the news/ radio people report it you’d swear 5 feet was on the way.

TOM and Noreen and their daughter, Kristin, are all PSU meteorology grads.

Forecast updated, looks like Noreen getting less inches in the backyard than anticipated, only about 4-6 now as storm being pushed further east off the coast.

This “nor’easter” has been a bit embarrassing. Eight hours in and there is no more than two inches. I think before the dawn of the sensationalism of news, this would have been called a snow shower. It’s falling like a Christmas commercial out there - straight down and light with no wind. And as I convinced my wife to explain to her sister that she is at the purple end of 8 inches. Ha ha ha!! I love sophomoric humor!!

The neighbor does shoveling as snow comes down. He was scraping for 15 minutes and our driveways (50 ft apart) are identical, nothing on them. It should be noted he wears Pats and Alabama gear - so his level of douchery knows no bounds.

I’m still in the 6-10” plus purple area, Sned Head said less than expected done by 6 pm ish

Nothing on the ground yet in New Jersey, but weather.com is still calling for a foot of snow here.

THUNDERSNOW.

This storm finally turned real about 45 minutes ago. Like a switch, the snow started coming down heavily and accumulating. We had lightning and thundersnow about 10 minutes ago.

Props on how you used "only 4-6 [inches]" and "pushed further" in the same sentence.

Returned home from work in Wilmington to find 10ish at my place in Chadds Ford. Really heavy snow. I bagged the snowblower, just shoveled two tracks in the driveway, set the SUV on the tracks, shoveled out the end where the township plowed me in. Good to go for the morning.

I'm in Newburgh NY and it looks like winter Armageddon. I take these trips up here so I can get back to NEPA to see family and friends. Last weekend I couldn't get home because they had 84 into Scranton closed because of the last storm. I hope this clears up for this weekend.

Complete ridiculousness. The over-hype of this storm was crazy. Honestly, I wouldn't have an issue if meteorologist came out and just admitted they were full of shit and had no clue where the storm was going but with the exception of saying a storm was coming 4 or 5 days in advance, I could have prognositicated a snow fall number in the same range of error as the so called meteorologists. I know its not an easy field, but damn....they really have no clue. I was squarely in a 12-18 inch area for 48 hours......what did we get? 2 inches of wet slush. All the schools closed, businesses closed (including mine), ....millions lost when it was unnecessary. Maybe they should just drop the forecasting and concentrate on nowcasting. ....sorry, but frustrated.
